Today I came out to investigate power loss to the outside dryer and noise coming from a light switch or fixture. On the dryer I found underground feed cable coming from the panel but romex cable (not rated to be buried) coming out of the ground at the shed and going to the dryer outlet. This indicates there is a splice somewhere underground that is most likely gone bad and causing the breaker to trip. Inside at the switch that controls the dining room light I found back stabbed. I reworked the switch so the wires are wrapped around the screws now.
