Install Rheem 92% efficient 60,000 BTU single stage gas furnace in the mechanical room for the whole house
Performed plumbing inspection and left quotes to make multiple repairs.
Performed a full system inspection. Upon inspection found that the gas furnace is from 2014 and it’s a 3 ton. The AC system is from 2023 and is a 2.5 ton. upon arrival customer stated that he did not believe he had a filter in his system. Upon inspection found that the system did have a filter inside the furnace. This filter was not doing the unit any justice due to the blower just sucks it into the blower. During fall inspection found that the heat exchanger has lots of rust and could is failing. This is going to be due to airflow and age. This system only has one 12 inch return which is on my 480 CFM’s and what is needed for the system to work properly is 1000 CFM’s. This system has no UV protection. This system does not have TE standard flood protection. The outdoor unit is clean, and contactor and capacitor are both good. Due to condition of unit customer is wanting a quote to replace system furnace only, and compare prices whether he would want to repair this system and try to pr

Dug up marked spot to find a leak on neighbour's water line. Informed 6570. Found no leak on 6568's line in that area. Neighbor did not want hole backfilled.
Customer had us out today for a no cool. Upon arrival found that the basement is flooded and the drain pan is filled with water. Upon inspection of the filter, found that the filter is clogged. Inside of the furnace is very dirty, this includes a blower wheel as well. The blower will be dirty, and the filter being clogged puts a lot of stress on the blower wheel motor. Upon inspection of the outdoor unit found that the system is low on refrigerant indicating a leak at the evaporator coil. This is the reason why the system froze over and that there is water in the pan. Also found a failing compressor, this is due to the compressor, running low on refrigerant. Also found a bad capacitor and contactor. The outside coils are clogged, which is also causing strain on the compressor and fan motor outside. I am going to present options to the customer. But the best option will be to replace the system. The system is from 2008 and it is a R410A system.
For this job, I worked on relocating disconnect for water heater right above it due to clearance issues. Disconnect was original to the house, so it started melting at the connections. installed 1900 junction box, new 60 amp pull out disconnect and installed a new whip to the water heater.
Homeowner had us out today because the system is not cooling, and he believes that the system has a leak. Upon arrival, homeowner greeted us with his own personal technician that he had known for years. The technician informed us that he’s been here multiple times and cannot find the leak. However, every time he adds refrigerant, the system leaks out. We were able to perform a quick leak search and only got small hits around the service valves of the liquid and suction line. We were not able to 100% pinpoint exactly where the leak was coming from. Within a 15 to 20 minute span we lost 0.9 psi. Recommended homeowner to look at options of replacement due to the age and condition of the system. Homeowner will contact technician or office to schedule quote at a later date.
Replaced pop up assembly and drain assembly to the powder room. Shut off the water to the home and drained the system, cut open a section of the drywall below the washer box. Removed and replaced the two valves. Removed and replaced the drain assembly underneath the kitchen sink, also removed and replaced the basket strainers. Installed a drain tailpiece to properly connect the dishwasher drain. Tested all repairs, no leaks detected.
