During our visit, the customer mentioned that Atlanta gas light said there is a leak somewhere in the system. I completed a pressure test on the all the gas pipes in the house. I located a hole in the 3/4” gas line that goes up to the attic furnace from the basement. Drywall had to be removed to access the pipe. The pipe was repaired and another pressure test was done. The pressure test failed indicating another leak in the system. I was able to isolate the gas pipe that is leaking so the customer would have gas over the weekend. We will need to return to create access to the gas pipe that is leading up to the attic furnace. The first leak that was repaired was caused by the frozen/wet line set that is right up against the gas line. I advised the customer to have our hvac team come out to assess the issue with the line set. Atlanta gas light mentioned he found a gas leak in the down stairs furnace gas control valve. I left the gas off to the unit and mentioned to the customer that a hv
No cool call. System blowing air through the house, but not cooling, found outdoor capacitor bad on compressor side. Client authorized replacement, replaced and system running now, pressure is high due to quarter inch liquid line instead of the 3/8 inch it’s supposed to be. System cooling but not as well as it could do to liquid line being too small. Outdoor disconnect is bypassed and should be replaced.
Came out for a leak in the ceiling. Did a thorough evaluation with a leak search. Had to cut sheet rock on the first floor and second floor behind the shower. Found multiple leaks on tub overflow, and shower valve. Shower will have to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Tub spout was installed with pex and was not crimp or installed properly. Also shower headline was not crimped at all. Will be coming back on Monday to complete work

Upon arrival, the homeowner explained they had an excessive water bill over the last three months. We began by performing a thorough evaluation of the home and found an occasionally running toilet on the main floor in the powder room and the water heater from 2007 leaking in the basement. With the homeowners approval, we drained down and removed the existing 50 gallon gas water heater and installed a new Navien 240A-2 Tankless water heater with necessary, upgraded gas line and venting. We installed a new main shut off out for the home, pressure regulator valve, and stream labs leak monitoring system. We also installed a new Kohler Kingston toilet located in the powder room And relocated the waterline to the wall per customers request. After completing all work, we pressurized the system and tested to confirm proper function, no further issues detected on the plumbing system at this time. During work performed, we discovered some form of electrical ground issue in the home. The water
Tech returned to install compressor. Took out old and replace with new. Replaced drier filter Pressurized system. Pressures held , vacuum system to 370 mircos. Added 6 pounds of Freon to system. Checked indoor to verify delta. Noticed when checking indoor. Liquid line and drier filter was sweating. This indicates restriction in line . Cleared lines again , Tech installed new drier filter. Pressure tested vacuum down. Checked indoor still sweating at the drier filter checked indoor piston. Seen piston is the correct. Size. Checked line set and seen were liquid line is to small to be able to carry Freon to indoor system. The cause of compressor failure.. system is struggling to push liquid to evaporator coil. This is choking the system. If line set is not updated to the correct size customer will continue to have compressor failure. At this time system is cooling. Just not efficient and effective.
For this job, we installed 5 new kholer Kingston toilets. We also replaced the angle stop in the guest bathroom for toilet. We replaced the cartridge in the master bathroom shower. Performed toilet tank, major rebuild for the master bathroom toilet. Once rebuild was done toilet was tested multiple times to ensure no leaks. Homeowner is satisfied.
Not Cooling - Upstairs System 13 year old Trane AC & Coil System not cooling due to failed starting components on outdoor unit. Condenser fan motor is weak dual capacitor has failed. The condenser coil is impacted with debris. The evaporator coil is dirty and has an abundance of rust on it. The heat exchanger has 2 large cracks a few small ones that are also starting to rust. The system does not have enough return air and has to small of a supply plenum. This is why the heat exchanger cracked prematurely. I went over some different options with the homeowners and hey decided to due a band-aid repair to get the system some what cooling today since they have 3 kids bedrooms on the upper level. They requested we send out an install supervisor and I have booked that appointment for this afternoon. The new equipment may have to be laid down (horizontal application) to have enough room for proper application. Thank you for choosing T.E. Certified, have a great weekend!
Today I removed five existing fluorescent 2 x 2 lights and installed nine total customer supplied Phillips Hue wafer lights. I replaced a ceiling fan and box in the living room. I replaced and vented a bath fan in the basement bathroom
Completed a system inspection for a 12 year old ruud split system. We have a handful of major concerns that need to be addressed. The home was recently purchased and was a flip before being sold. They turned the carport into a bedroom but that room is very hot, they also removed the in-wall filter cabinet and move the filter location to the base of the blower compartment. There’s water running down the outside of the system as it’s cooling. During our inspection I found the evaporator was severely impacted and dirty. The attic had hardly any insulation. The additional room has NO insulation at all. The abandoned filter cabinet needs to be reinstalled. The return plenum has biological growth from the drainage issues. The evaporator was extremely rusted. The heat exchanger has a handful of spots that are approaching failure and is a major safety concern in this condition. The blower wheel is heavily impacted, the blower motor is leaking oil. There’s a considerable amount of work necessar
