Customer had a new washer and dryer installed and existing valves on washer box were leaking so I replaced washer box.
For this job, we completed a troubleshoot for outlets in the garage not working. The customer had a leak above the garage which was fixed but caused the garage GFCI to trip. We inspected the outlets and light and EV seems to be in order. No moisture or corrosion at this time. We reset the GFCI and everything is working.
We did a troubleshoot to determine why the bathroom exhaust fan wasn’t working
Installed 50 gal power vent water heater in basement, Removed old water heater and relocated new water heater
Troubleshoot landscape lights not working. 60 amp two pole breaker feeding panel. Tested breaker and only got 120 out of one leg. Assumed breaker was bad and replaced it. Did not fix issue and half of breaker was still dead. One leg coming from meter was dead and meter had lock on it. Discounted breaker since it didn't fix the issue like I said and wasn’t comfortable wiring back up the old one live. Moved landscape breakers the working phase and got them up and running. No Heat - 2005 Rheem gas furnace System not heating mainly to age. System has multiple issues that all relate back to the systems age, 20+ years old. The main control board is bad, the system doesn’t always bring on the heat. When it does bring on the heat it runs for a little while then shuts off on high limit. The heat exchanger is compromised, the inducer motor is weak and over amping, the blower wheel is heavily impacted with debris. The blower wheel being impacted with debris is also reducing air flow across the heat exchanger. Pair this with a bad heat exchanger, worn inducer motor, and weak blower motor and the system over heats pretty quickly and shuts down. After going over the condition, age, and repairs, the homeowner requested we send out an install supervisor to go over updating the full system. I scheduled this with dispatch for 4pm today. Customer had problems with kids shower, saying it wasn’t getting too hot. Shower was getting hot and tested other showers with my thermometer and it was the same temperature throughout whole home. Also repaired leak on water heater. Everything is good to go and I emailed estimates over.
Replaced kitchen light. The light did not have a box so I added a pancake box. The light works properly.
Today we performed two system home care client replaces all medias. Cleaned all flame sensors, fuel rails and inducer ports. Checked gas pressures and inspected ductwork on basement system found no return. Inspected all electrical components and connections, replaced run capacitor for main level. Performed safety check on both furnaces with digital camera. Inspected heat exchangers on second level found severe metal fatigue and hot spots. Heat exchanger is compromised and could fail at anytime. Cycled equipment from thermostats checked all operations and left equipment operational. Scheduled install supervisor to give options on updating second level furnace and adding return in basement.
Replaced two 50 gallon electric water heaters, included code upgrades, expansion tanks, pans and a Rheem warranty upgrade kit (10 year manufacturer’s warranty). Installed a grundfos alpha recirculation pump. We also opened subfloor to move hub drain as it was too close to the water heaters.
During our visit, the customer mentioned he was looking to remove his water filtration system due to age and lack of maintenance. I spoke with the customer about multiple solutions. A few estimates were provided and presented to the customer. An estimate was approved and work began next day. The old water softener was removed and a new Halo Ultimate whole home water filter was installed. A bypass was added for the post filter, along with the entire water filter system. The cold side of the water heater was repiped with a new expansion tank and ball valve. An appointment was scheduled for us to return on Monday the 15th to complete the flush procedure on the unit. Audrey, Jeans daughter called us out because they had a few electrical issues. With that being said we preformed
