Arrived to look at issue with the exhaust heater as the new one is not as hot as the original. Found that the original heaters were 1300 watts and the new heater is 1300 watts but the new one takes much longer to get to the matching temp. The only recommendation I would have to the issue is to go with a 1500-1600 watts unit for better heater. Also looked at the decorative exhaust fan in the master restroom and they can be found through Home Depot, Lowe’s or I recommend asking a lighting specialist store like Fort Worth lighting to help find a replacement similar to the existing.

Arrived on the job site and the customer stated that they had an unused oven circuit and wanted it converted into a standard 120-volt outlet. We installed a 20-amp CL breaker in the GE panel and converted the existing 8/3 wiring by splicing it to 12-gauge wire feeding the new outlet. After testing, everything is working properly. The customer was informed that all work performed includes a five-year warranty. We also completed a safety evaluation and noted that the electrical panel is outdated and has several issues that need attention. We provided solutions for upgrading the panel, meter base, and additional recommended improvements. We will be calling next Saturday, December 6th, to review the options with her husband. The customer is 100% satisfied with today’s visit.

Arrived on the job site. The customer stated that the front porch outlet was not working. I charged a minor diagnostic fee to troubleshoot the issue. During the diagnostic, I noticed that the two back-door outlets— which should be tied into the same circuit—are powered 24/7. When testing these outlets, they showed as “GFCI protected,” but they do not trip the GFCI, indicating they were previously protected but are no longer tied into the current GFCI. The customer mentioned that the home recently underwent a remodel, converting a single-story home into a two-story. All the remodeling work is still under the contractor’s warranty. I explained that I could continue diagnosing the issue, but I could not replace or modify any wiring, as that could void the homeowner’s remodel warranty. I also found that the two outdoor outlets that remain energized are tied into the “new plugs” circuit and not the same circuit as the outdoor GFCI. When attempting to reset the GFCI, it trips instantly, wh

Troubleshooting breaker and checked voltage coming into panel and breakers. found that there was an internally tripped tandem breaker and cut off and back on and everything worked with no issues. The problem happened during a storm. Also found that customer was making code and that 1 leg coming into panel had 130v on it when the coffee maker was running. Explained to customer she will need to have oncore out. Also explained that the breakers are outdated and need to be replaced due to age. If we have to come out for same problem we will automatically charge for a troubleshoot, including troubleshooting the meter base.
