Arrived on the job site. The customer stated that the breaker controlling the living room was no longer working and had been feeling stiff and loose at times without tripping properly. After diagnosing the issue, I confirmed that the breaker was faulty and replaced the 15-amp BR breaker. Everything powered back on and is now working correctly. I also provided the customer with several recommended solutions to bring certain areas up to current code standards and address a few additional concerns. I advised the customer that I would like to speak with both her and her husband together to go over these solutions and determine how they would like to proceed. The customer is 100% happy with today’s visit and understands that the new breaker carries a 5-year warranty.

Arrived on-site, and the customer reported that the breaker controlling the water heater was not working. Upon inspection, noticed that the breaker felt very loose when attempting to reset it and was not tripping properly. Provided a solution to replace the 30-amp, two-pole CH brand breaker. After resetting the breaker, it held correctly, and the water heater resumed normal operation. Also performed a safety evaluation and identified several code violations, including the absence of a cold-water bond and outdated smoke detectors. Noted that the faulty breaker indicates potential wear in other breakers, which may begin to fail over time. Provided solutions to replace the aging breakers, add a cold-water bond, and upgrade the existing AFCI breakers in the panel. The customer expressed full satisfaction with today’s visit and acknowledged the five-year warranty covering the newly installed 30-amp two-pole breaker.
