Performed a routine inspection of their fire alarm system. I tested the main fire alarm control panel, which was operational except for low backup battery voltage. I also inspected the initiating devices, discovering one smoke detector in the warehouse was unresponsive, and tested the notification appliances, identifying a malfunctioning strobe light in the office area. To address these issues, I replaced the backup batteries, installed a new smoke detector in place of the faulty one, and repaired the strobe light by securing loose wiring. After completing these fixes, I conducted a full system test, confirmed all components were functioning correctly, and informed the facilities manager of the repairs and recommended follow-up actions.
