I worked on a broken water line in Florence, SC this afternoon, where the leak was at the main supply connection. After cutting out the damaged section of copper pipe, I used lead-free solder and flux to attach a new fitting. Once the pipe was reconnected, I pressure tested it to ensure there were no leaks.
Saved a american darling fire hydrant from being replaced. Complete rebuild of 2008 5 1/4 American Darling fire hydrant.
