Portable Extinguishers and Emergency / Exit Lights Inspection Perform the Annual Portable Fire Extinguisher Inspection as per NFPA 10. Any maintenance services or new units required must be documented and customer authorization obtained before work can be performed. Perform the Annual Emergency/Exit Light Battery Load Certification as per NFPA 101 to each unit on-site. A certification label is to be applied for this type of inspection. Additional maintenance needed i.e.batteries and bulbs must have customer approval. Any units that require replacement must be documented as a deficiency and installed on a approved return trip, if same day approval is not obtained.
