I had an issue with my new heat pump that was not due to the install that they did, but to debris in the drain line. Kevin came out the same day we called, found the problem, explained what it was and got our system working again. He told us what to watch for and if needed will come back to replace the drain line. He did not charge me for a service call and was helpful and professional. Comfort Central has exhibited great customer service from the first service call with Cameron when my old system failed, Kevin doing the estimate, Laurie in the office helping me with financing options to Jay and his crew doing the install and Kevin taking care of the recent problem. Great people and a great company. They have my business as long as I still live here!

Sealed boot in batjroom with mastic and tucked insulation arpund it.
Found capacitor on heat pump to be bad. Replace the capacitor. LED on board is telling me that compressor is off right now on thermal overload. May take up to 24 hours to cool off to start working properly.
Found 04 fault on outdoor unit causing unit not to cycle sometimes, Locked rotor fault caused by faulty capacitor that had gone flat between check ups. Replaced capacitor and cycled system to check operation - system started up normally at this time - no other recommended changes.
System froze up due to dirty filter 16x25x4 top tech filter - should be replaced - defrosted system and cycled to check operation - everything cycles normally at this time. Filter appeared to be only issue, will follow up with quote for maintenance agreement for both upstairs and downstairs systems.
Found system 2 hz432 zone control board not bringing equipment on on call for cooling - recommend replacement of zone control board - wired system to thermostat side of zone control to allow unit to cycle on and run. y1 (yellow) and y2 (black) from relays to thermostat 1 are for equipment, equipment wires are the low voltage wires in front of zone control board. Will call when zone control board comes in to schedule repair. Also interested in comfort club for 2 dual fuel geothermal systems and 1 Mitsubishi minisplit system.
Performed cooling tune up service on ac system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of indoor and outdoor coils, treatment of drain and condensate pump. Everything looks and runs great!
Found unit capacitor had gone flat - replaced capacitor and cycled system to check operation - everything came on normally
Found system disconnected had shorted line voltage wire to ground - repaired shorted wire - cycled breakers and system thermostat to check operation - everything came on normally again!
Found system acting like low on refrigerant - checked heat pump driers and valves - forced system into high stage, added 6 oz r410a and checked system operation- found thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) not adjusting to refrigerant balance changes. Tried adjusting system TXV - system TXV is stuck - recommend replacement of TXV

Performed cooling tune up service on all 3 cooling systems checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, shutdown, cleaning of indoor and outdoor units, replacement of customer provided filters, treatment of drains.
Found system drain clogged - removed all water from drain and drain pan - removed clog - cycled system to check operation - found system low on r410a refrigerant - added 2.5 lbs of r410a to system - everything runs normally again!
