Great Service

Kelsey did a very thorough job at servicing our heat pump, etc. on Wednesday. On Monday, which was our original service call between 9 and 11, no one notified me they were coming.

Excellent service and follow through

Kevin came out this morning and identified and solved a problem we were having with the outside unit. It was short-cycling mysteriously. Turned out to be too much refrigerant for the new valve installed a week before. We appreciate Kevin's thoroughness in getting the problem solved. Highly recommend this company for its professionalism and high quality service.

Found main breaker on a/c to be tripped. Reset breaker turned unit on. Large spark happened at contactor. Found melted wires at contactor. Both L1L2 wires have heading that is melted Had to trim a bush next to air conditioner, so I could get to the service panel on the air conditioner. In doing so disturbed a yellow jacket nest in the bush. I think they were coming out of the ground. I’m not sure I couldn’t get close. You’ll need an exterminator to kill the yellow jackets when that happens. Call us back out and we’ll try to figure out What shorted on your air conditioner. Indoor breaker is off. Outdoor service disconnect is out. I was able to put a garbage bag over the top of the unit because I couldn’t put the service panel door back on.

Temperature in kitchen of boot closest to the air handler. It’s 57° temperature in living room 67 temperature in addition 77. Turned off dehumidifier check temperatures again and they were all pretty close to the same temperature when the dehumidifier runs. It’s gonna blow hot air, and for some reason, the air is making its way to the addition I believe it’s because of the size of the Plenum, but there’s not much we can do in that crawlspace to change the pleanm

Was informed by homeowner that the system wasn’t keeping up. Checked capacitor and components on outdoor unit. Everything was in range checked refrigerant R 22.. System seem low on charge so I went and checked filter and coil. Found half of coil 100% blocked must be cleaned before we can check refrigerant. This being blocked is only gonna give half capacity to cool the house so on a hotter days, it won’t keep up Clean the coils checked AC operation and refrigerant charge. The system is doing the best it can for the age. Delta t was 14. Super heat was 17 degrees which is what the system with a piston is looking for
