Found transformer resetting power every time there was a call for heat. Usually this happens when there’s a high amp draw, which would normally pop a fuse but no fuse was popped. We were here last week. Fuse was popped. Couldn’t find where it was coming from. Disconnected all wires to the outdoor unit, except red and common and the fuse would pop. The only thing left with is that there is a dead short on the board must be replaced the defrost board. Replaced defrost board found burn mark on back of defrost board. Went ahead and checked wires inside the outdoor unit to see if I could find anything that would cause a short. I couldn’t find anything. Started system up. Everything ran good.
Found system off on float - removed clog from outdoor condensate line - pushed back a little to have a shorter exposure to outdoor temps and tried to tuck the condensate line into the insulation of the suction line. Short of running the condensate line to an indoor drain, recommendation would be to put a bucket under condensate drain at the pump on extended freezing days and monitoring the water coming out of the furnace to prevent the system from turning off on float switch. Everything else came back on normally at this time.
Found 12x12 filter grill has warped and is causing a slight noise recommend replacement of filter grill will follow up with pricing and availability.
System locked out on fault, indicating no ignition after several tries does a hard lockout. Incoming gas pressure 13 WC. Manifold pressure is 2WC. Try to adjust gas valve with no success. Gas valve also has a chatter when the unit fires up and when the inducer is running that goes away after 20 seconds. Gas valve is bad must be replaced
Replace steam vent and sight glass on boiler
Performed heating tune up service on heat pump system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, defrost, shutdown, treatment of drain, checking of filter. Everything looks and runs great!
Furnish materials and labor for replacement of OEM condenser fan blade.
Replace circulator pump for a close boiler piping started and tested system
Replacement of condenser fan motor - replaced motor and reset power to system. Everything came back on normally.
Found condenser fan running in reverse. Found TXV to be slam shut not allowing the refrigerant to flow through. Had to cycle the reversing valve to equalize the refrigerant. This system is 15 years old heat pumps last generally 12 to 15 years. We’re gonna get you a price on replacement or repair.
Ultimate Heating Tune-Up Gas Heat: serviced and inspected gas heating system checking air flow, temperature rise, electrical, gas pressure, safeties, controls and limits, heat exchanger and venting. cleaned and checked system components to manufacturer specifications and performed combustion inspection. Mounted wired and programmed supplied thermostat. Started and tested system on new thermostat. Repaired vent pipe at furnace as it wasn’t installed properly and was leaking. Gurgling sound is because whoever installed this equipment put a 3 to 2 reducer on the vent pipe in the horizontal position instead of vertical. I don’t think it’s going to cause much of an.
Found indoor control board intermittently not closing G circuit on call for heat. Recommended replacement of indoor control board. Returned 1/9/26 replaced indoor control board and cycled to check operation. Everything came on and cycled normally again. No additional recommended changes at this time.
Called phone knocked on door no answer. Waited 30 minutes. Will have to reschedule.
Found backflow preventer opening and causing water to drain out when pressure is on system. Believe there is a restriction in the backflow preventer causing it to keep bypassing water intermittently. Recommend replacement of backflow preventer.
Added buck transformer onto the Bosch heat pump voltage is now 228v
