Found system off at breaker in basement - cycled system to check operation - checked in both emergency heat and regular cycle - removed 45 minute upstage timer for electric heat - adjusted electric heat lock out temp to 40. Everything comes on and runs normally.
Found inducer motor had failed - inducer motor will have to be ordered will call as inducer arrives.
Found W wire at thermostat was not connected at thermostat. Reconnected wire and tested system operation - electric heat comes on normally and heat pump working within manufacturer's specifications.
Found 3 inch PVC coupling to be leaking. Cut out leaking section and re-piped with new fittings. Also noticed that the horizontal pipe is pitch the wrong way. There’s no way to fix this because of the termination piece that goes through the roof. Vacuumed water out of emergency drain pan. Put insulation back on vent pipe Filter door is at the left side of the furnace 24 x 24 x 1
Replaced 12 gauge wire to 10 gauge wire from breaker panel to outdoor unit replaced breaker. Check GFI outlet and start Mitsubishi. Everything turned on.
Replaced true suction connection due to the leak. Charge system and tested refrigerant level. Will recheck it in the spring time when we come back for maintenance.
Performed heating tune up service on heat pump systems checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, defrost, shutdown. Found Reme-LED UV bulbs are nearing end of their life cycle and should be replaced. Part number: PHIC-REME-LED Everything runs great!
I believe the dehumidifier was introducing cold air during the air sampling. When it samples the air all the ductwork is cold. Usually samples there for about a minute and a half to 2 1/2 minutes and then turns off if the humidity is lower than the set point. I recommend when it’s this cold outside And the humidity is low to turn the dehumidifier off.
31 fault code - pressure switch opens during cycle - Found drain box full of water in furnace - removed obstruction from drain trap and unit started to flush the drain. Checked flow of all drain hoses and condensate drain running outside. Removed drain trap and cleaned trap. Cycled system to check operation. Everything came back on normally again. If fails again may recommend replacing the furnace internal drain trap.
Found indoor blower motor capacitor had failed (measured 0 mfd) causing outdoor unit to shut off on thermal lockout. Noted blower wheel motion on motor shaft was tight but motor and wheel still can spin freely. Replaced capacitor and cycled system to check operation. Blower motor amps 2.1 Temperature rise 20-35 Electric heat amps 40 Everything came back on and runs normally again!
Furnish materials and labor to move return for elevator project Install transfer grills in between work room and office.moved 12” return from where elevator is going into workout room
Performed heating tune up service on heat pump system checking all electrical components, refrigerant balance, unit start up, operation, defrost, shutdown. Customer noted a scratching noise as unit shuts off in heating mode. This is caused by a couple of different things happening upon system shutdown. First, expansion and contraction of the metal in the unit as it begins to cool off, second, a slight refrigerant noise can be heard that sounds similar to flowing water, third, the blower wheel rotation is still audible for about a minute as the blower begins to slow down after shutoff. All three of these events together appear to cause a slight scratching noise at the air handler and resonates through to the ductwork above the unit.
System was off on low water cut off, which means that there was air in the system. Possibly a leak under the slab, which would have drained it. We realize this because the water was shut off, which means that the automatic fill pressure reducing valve couldn’t fill. Quite a bit of water was missing out of the boiler. If there’s no leak, the boiler should’ve held the water it had. You may have to find someone that can find leaks in a slab. And it seems like the two different zones that the pumps are on both had water missing. So it may be more Went ahead and turned the water on bled the air out tested everything to make sure that the piping was getting hot and the return water was getting hot for both zones
Performed heating tune up service on hot water radiant floor system. Checked all electrical components, performed full combustion analysis on system. Checked light off, start up, operation, safeties, shutdown. Everything looks and runs great!
