Great job!

Jay was a godsend!. I thought that my water heater/heating system was a goner. Jay checked out all of my HVAC systems, determined that my pilot light had just gone out, taught me how to relight it if needed, and gave me a safe, two ingredient recipe to rid whatever critters had been leaving their sizeable droppings in the equipment closet. He also came on time. Thanks, Jay!

We definately recommend Comfort Central. Cameron performed the summer check on the unit and scheduled for the winter check in a few months. Cameron was very professional and congenial and throughly inspected the unit including dehumidifier and condensate pump. Report indicates system working well.

Best Expertise and Creative Service

Cameron and Kevin Schumann separately first visited our home and brainstormed ideas to replace and improve our ailing HVAC units and to install a dehumidifier in our basement crawlspace. Their suggestions were considered and improved by Jay Eidelberg and carried out by his crew. Besides a capacity for physically challenging work, Jay has two remarkable qualities. The first, borne of years of experience, is his ability to picture the completed layout, however complex, in his mind. The second is his passion to complete the project as if it were a work of art. Look no further than Comfort Central if you are considering new or replacement HVACs.

Recommend replacement of condensate pump on right upstairs unit and deep cleaning on both upstairs powerheads. Will follow up with quote and availability to replace condensate pump and deep clean both units. Inspected other powerheads - recommend getting deep clean done on all the power heads as well. Will add a separate quote for both tasks.

Dehumidifier can go in the mechanical room. We would need a box and half of 10 inch flex and one splice collar to run the duct up into the encapsulated crawlspace. We would need about 15 feet of 14 gauge Romax wire GFI box and cover. Eaton 15a breaker single pole. The drain would drain into the floor drain next to where the units going to be. There are no crawlspace vents. About three hours to install. They also want a price to add an Iwave to their Bosch system

Condensation dripping from coil onto air handler through ductwork into garage Contacted Carrier to verify that this particular unit will work in a downflow. They informed me it would. The downflow kit was properly installed on the coil of the air handler. This is a2 1/2 ton system. It requires around 1000 CFM to work properly. I performed a static pressure test and verified that the system is .42 wc. We looked in the installation manual and found that at that pressure and where the blower was set. It was only 780 CFM. We just did the blower motor and brought it up to 985 CFM. By doing this, the system will have more air blowing across the coil Which will make the coil not as cold and hopefully not condensing as much water to prevent it from dripping off. At 780 CFM, the coil would be much colder condensing, more water, allowing it to drip. I’m not sure if making this adjustment actually fixed anything I would be surprised if it did. I would leave the fan in the on position until all t

Was informed unit wasn’t keeping up. The unit utilizes R 22 refrigerant. Check capacitor was still in range. Amp drive compressor 5.8 fan motor was .8 A check refrigerant charge. 68/179 sh6. Sc7. Temperature difference was 18°. Can find any reason why the unit wouldn’t come on yesterday when there was a call for cooling as there’s no float switches in the crawlspace on the equipment.
