On time. Professional, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable
Cameron was extremely knowledgeable and spent the needed for a custom repair job and rebuild. I highly recommend him and his company!
I really enjoyed working with Comfort Central. The owner, Kevin, was great, very personable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I had two full systems and one AC unit added so it was a big project. Just an antidote on Kevin's knowledge, When I I asked one company how load the indoor unit of the Mitsubishi ductless system was he said "You will love it you can sleep in it." In contrast Kevin said 44 decibels. I really appreciated the factual answer rather than the 'sales' answer. Kevin's quote was thousands less. Originally they were doing a ductless system in on cottage and adding AC to another cottage and the main house. When dismantling the heating unit in the main house they showed me bad cracks and openings throughout the heat exchanger in the 20 year old furnace. Clearly it had to be replaced. I thought this is going to cost a bomb, they have me over a barrel and I will have to accept whatever they offer. Kevin I think did just the opposite and tried to give me the very best price he could because he knew my budget was tight. I really feel like I was not taken advantage of. Their work was prompt and look to be to a high standard. The systems (Maytag on the ducted systems and Mitsubishi on the ductless) seem excellent. Our inspector said everything was done right and to code with no issues or corner cutting. I highly recommend them especially if you are not an expert on H/VAC. Kevin is very knowledgeable and I believe you can trust what he tells you.

On arrival Thermostat was satisfied at 70. boiler seems to be running normal. Thermostat is in the hallway which would be warmer than any of the apartments. This particular apartment has two window units in it with a 2 inch gap. I explained to the tenants that they should probably plug the gaps which would allow the heat to stay in the apartment especially on more breezy days couldn’t find any issues other than the windows
System was working on arrival, checked temperature difference, return was 63 and supply was 102 giving a 39 degree temperature difference, blower amps was 3.2, inducer was pulling .5 amps cycled system off and on 7 times and was unable to get system to fail. As of right now system is operating properly.
System operating on arrival, noted a couple issues with the duct work but assumed system worked before with the current duct design. Found gas pressure too high possibly causing unit to cycle on high limit switch, adjusted gas pressure down to 3.5 inches of water column on high and down to 2.7 on the low. Cycled system to check operation tested both low and high fires, system should be able to maintain and keep up to desired set point of 67-68°F
Found water on floor near back flow preventer. This would pop if city lost pressure to prevent the boiler water mixing with potable water. Boiler pressure is at 10 psi. I tested pressure relief valve. Which pops at 30 psi. Looked over all connections on boiler pipes. I didn’t see anything that was wet or dripping that would cause the issue of water on the floor.
Found condenser fan motor has failed and must be replaced - replaced with rescue motor
BOSCH HEAT PUMP - Insulated drain trap as it was condensingon outside of the drain. Cycled unit to check operation. Everything looks and runs great!
