I have found the techs from RKM to be well-trained, careful, and transparent. They are polite, professional, work carefully, and are willing to explain... and willing to tell you what repairs can wait, and which matter. RKM's prices are another matter. Apparently, instead of charging a per-visit fee plus reasonable job prices, they pile up the costs on even small repairs. I needed two run capacitors replaced -- $15 parts, at most, with 5 minute replacement time -- and they wanted to charge well over $200 _each_. Now, I value their tech's time and diagnostic skills... but there's a whole lot of overhead in that $200 cost, so if they do two, the second one should be much much cheaper: the tech is there, the diagnosis is easy, and the job is a trifle. So, while I appreciate the good side, I will be thinking twice about the price when I need service after this year's service contract runs out.
Took only a few hours to meet the technician when our heater broke down whilte other company was willing to return a call next day. Very kind and detailed explanation was given.
I have used RKM for furnace and air conditioner maintenance for a couple of years. I noticed that they also do maintenance on tankless water heaters so decided to give them a try. Excellent customer service, polite and knowledgeable technicians, no over sell!
