Today, I addressed wood rot on a window sill by first removing the deteriorated material with a chisel and applying a wood hardener to stabilize the remaining structure. I then filled the void with a two-part epoxy wood filler, which I shaped to match the original contour of the sill. Once cured, the repair was sanded smooth and finished with an exterior paint matching the existing trim, providing both aesthetic continuity and protection against future moisture damage.
