I repaired wood rot on the exterior window sills of a home. The rot had spread across three sills. After cutting away the damaged wood, I used an epoxy wood filler to fill in the gaps, shaping it to match the existing profile. Once dried, I sanded it smooth using a Makita orbital sander. I then primed the repaired areas with Zinsser Cover Stain oil-based primer and finished with a top coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior paint for durability.
