I used a webber brush to remove any visible cobwebs. I inspected the exterior for possible pest entry points. None were found. Today I performed your quarterly premium pest service.I started on the interior by treating baseboard, level crack and crevices, cabinetry, and behind/around large appliances with a liquid residual product focused on the roof control. Glue monitors were placed to help track and capture activity. Last a gel bait for roach control was applied in gaps along the backsplash on both counters.On the exterior I inspected termite monitoring stations, brushed down spider webs, and inspected the exterior of the home. Hello! Today I was here for a long time service regarding wasps. There was an active bald faced hornets nest on the back screen door.I removed and discarded the nest and then treated the surrounding areas with a liquid residual product to deter returning foraging wasps.There is remaining nest residue on the screen, and the screen underneath the nest was a relatively large hole. However, the bulk of the nest, including the larva and core was fully removed. You may still see activity over the course of the next week as wasps return to their former nesting site. Hello! Today I was here for your service call regarding hornets.They are definitely European hornets getting attracted to the porch light at night. European hornets continue to be active into the night so any type of light will draw them. I inspected the property and did not note any nesting locations. They will fly some distance to Forage, so there is most likely a nest within a relatively close radius, but nowhere within your property line as far as I can see. European hornets also tend to not be as aggressive as vespids and since there is no accessible nesting sites close, you won’t run into any being aggressively protective over there home. An option would be to keep your porch light off to deter them. It is also nearing the end of the season so activity will naturally taper off. I treated the basement for fleas with a liquid residual. I placed for termite monitors on the four corners of the home after doing a termite inspection, and found no current termite activity at this time.
