Good afternoon Chris. Today we completed your initial pest control service. We addressed your concerns for carpenter bee activity. Heavy activity around the front door/a frame area. We treated any burrow holes we could see/reach with a liquid residual insecticide. This treatment is not a guarantee to eliminate all activity, this treatment is only a population reduction. This treatment will only affect female carpenter bees as they are the only ones that enter the burrows and come in contact with this treatment. Males will continue to fly around. Majority of the damage done (holes larger than a 1/4” circle) to the A frame porch is from woodpeckers digging for larva and eggs. The burrow holes and any damage will need to be filled and repaired to prevent future activity. Carpenter bees will reuse old burrows year after year.
