I recently completed a wood-destroying insect report in Groves, Texas. This report involved inspecting a property to determine if there were any signs of damage caused by insects such as termites, carpenter ants, or wood-boring beetles. As an exterminator professional, my duties included carefully examining the structure, looking for signs of insect activity such as tunnels, frass (sawdust-like material), or damaged wood, and taking samples for identification. I also conducted a thorough survey of the surrounding area to identify potential sources of infestation, such as moisture problems or old, decaying wood.
I recently completed an annual termite inspection using Sentricon in a grove in Texas. Sentricon is a termite colony elimination system that uses bait stations to eliminate subterranean termites. The system consists of a cellulose bait that is attractive to termites and placed in the soil around the foundation of the building. The bait is laced with a slow-acting insecticide that is lethal to termites but harmless to humans or other animals. Over time, as termites feed on the bait, they transfer it back to their colony, where it disrupts the social structure and eventually kills the entire colony. The Sentricon system is highly effective and has been used extensively in the United States to eliminate termite infestations.
