Disassembled shower trim to identify shower cartridge and diverter valve.
Reinstalled and tightened down shower handle in upstairs shower.
changed out cold side stem for master bathroom shower. Stems were price pfister.
Checked out water heater that we installed in December. Water heater pilot keeps going out. Cleaned and checked the venting. Also tried covering bottom door vent just incase the pilot is getting blown out. If issues continue I suggest putting in a tankless unit. Unit is not showing any error codes.
Replaced tot fill valve and flapper because toilet not shutting off all the way and going into overflow Over time which leaked out of handle onto the floor. Seems this was the cause all along and is u dear warranty.
Remove old softener and install a new puronics defender C. 3/4” copper and 1” coppe Removed old softener and filter. Repaired section of line and installed a new puronics defender softener and filled salt tank. Set hardness to 22 grains.looked at toilet and flushed 20 times could not find a leak at this time. Recalled around base and told customer to call if notice a leak.
installed liberty sub pump in basement.
Removed toilet and inspected wax ring which did need changed also noticed it should be double waxed because of flange height. Replaced wax rings and reinstalled toilet. Caulked around base and checked for leaks.
re-light water heater pilot in basement.
Water heater was on and lit when I arrived. Customer said they had to relight it twice before now. I noticed Combustion air vents on door near the floor was very dirty and maybe not allowing enough air to get into unit which I cleaned. Also cycled unit several times to get burner to come on and turn off and pilot still remains lit. Roof vent appears to be in good working order and is tall enough above roof. There were no error codes on unit as well. Seems to be working fine and Connor get it to malfunction. Customer will have someone keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.
Estimate to install 75 gal natural gas water heater
Water heater replacement - Coast Plumbing Solutions will be removing the customers failing 40 gallon natural has water heater located in the customer outdoor utility closet. The unit will be replaced with a new 40 gallon natural has unit. The unit will be installed with a smitty pan under the water heater to prevent water damage in case of a future leak. The unit will also be installed with a new 3/4” type L copper temperature and pressure relief valve, yellow corrugated gas flex and water supply lines. This estimate includes haul away of the failing unit. Coast Plumbing Solutions is not responsible for any secondary repairs such as drywall, wood, paint, tile or stucco
Water heater inspection - Coast Plumbing Solutions will be inspecting the customers failing 40 gallon water heater to determine the why the unit is shutting off causing the tenant to the back studio to not have hot water. Once the issue is determined, CPS will send the customer options to repair or replace the 40 gallon natural gas water heater located in the outdoor utility closet.
Coast Plumbing Solutions will be removing the customers toilet in the master bathroom to gain access to the main sewer line obstruction that has caused the customers main sewer line to back up into the mast shower and other locations in the house. Once the toilet has been pulled. CPS will use the main line cable to clear the obstruction and run the sewer inspection camera to locate the cause of the obstruction. If the customer main sewer line has become obstructed with roots or is in need of repair, Coast Plumbing Solutions will send a secondary estimate to complete the additional scope of work. Coast Plumbing Solutions will be using the 4” vent on the roof to locate where the customers main sewer line exits the master bathroom. Once the depth and location of the line has been determined, CPS will be digging up a 4’ section of the main sewer line and installing a 2 way cleanout for future maintenance on the old sewer system. Ran cable and cleared stoppage in master bathroom shower. Pulled back hair and baby wipes. No warranty on stoppages.
