Really great visit. Shawn was knowledgeable, kind, respectful, going through every step of my leak and its repair with me. I love when people repairing my home leave me more knowledgeable about my home than when they arrived, especially when it comes to preventing future problems. Shawn did all of the above in addition to fixing the leak relatively quickly, and for an affordable price. Call for water leak in ceiling of first floor bathroom. Arrived and met with Ms. Janes. She showed me the water dripping from the ceiling. I inspected the upstairs bathroom and found water inside the vanity, and a drip hanging on to the elbow of half inch cpvc. When testing, I found a hairline crack along the elbow. Pressure regulating valve only about a year old. Water heater also just over a year. Pressure not tested as water was off, but I believe prv is functioning fine due to young age. Cut away broken section of cpvc. Installed new ball valve and pressurized system. No leaks or drips found. I also discussed the benefits of our maintenance membership program. I have also provided two estimates, one for a whole house water filtration system, and another for a Moen Flo automatic leak detection device. I have left contact information for reliable restoration, and recommend they be contacted to assess water damage to home.
we were called back to the property to address an issue following a previous service in which we pulled and reinstalled the toilet to perform a line snake during this follow up. We discovered that the toilet had shifted slightly after reinstallation while it’s possible that this minor shift occurred due to the toilet, not being fully settled or the silicone seal not having ample time to cure we have promptly resecured the fixture moving forward We’ve taken additional steps to ensure the toilet is firmly in place and the seal is fully intact. we have re-leveled and secure the toilet at no additional labor cost as a courtesy. We tested a toilet and flushed it approximately 20 times to confirm no leaks around base of toilet after we then installed silicon caulking around the toilet informed the tenant not to use toilet for two or three hours to give time for caulking to cure tenant understands.
Call to inspect sewage pumps after septic tank has been pumped. Stephen said tank has been pumped, and a belly in the line has been corrected. Pumps still won’t work. Checked pumps and found that they have both burnt out. Likely as a result of continuous cycling. Wipes and some debris found in bathroom pump basin. Very old pump for laundry. Replaced both pumps and added a new check valve to the laundry pump. On bathroom pump I installed fernco coupling to allow for access to remove lid if needed to inspect, as Stephen has concerns of continued misuse of bathroom. Tested all pumps, thoroughly cleaned work spaces.
Call for sewage on basement floor. Arrived and found two ejection pump basins full and overflowed. One is a pump for laundry only. The other is for a bathroom group. Both are independent of each other and not chained together, and only connected via shared main sewage system. Electrical outlets functioning at both pumps. House is on a septic system, and likely requires septic service. After septic tank has been serviced we can return to assess if pumps have been damaged or burnt out. I was unable to locate a clean out at this time. This property is being used as an air B&B. Stephen states that a renter mentioned the issue today. There has been a history of backups and misuse of sewage system on file, including trash pulled from sewage pump basin. Sewage ejection pump is new as of this year. No history of installation for washing machine pump available on file. I recommend getting septic tank pumped and serviced. Once septic tank is verified to be serviced and no issues found, we
Customer has a water leak from a pressurized source that has flooded the basement for months. There is wet carpet throughout the whole basement and several inches of standing water. Excessive mold present in home. Leak can’t be confidently or safely diagnosed until the area is cleared and mold is removed.
Client called us out due to a leaking main water service line it seems just below the front deck. House is only 7 yrs old and is pex water line. Gave estimates for replacement in copper and back in pex, and gave ballpark for repair as it is unclear where exactly the leak is or what will be needed to Ake repair. Full replacement comes with 5 yr warranty. Will credit back service fee off of quoted work.
Replace and relocate water heater in garage
Homemade states that they attempt to reset and unjam the garbage disposal but were unsuccessful and called us to come and fix the issue. Upon arrival I greeted homeowners and they showed me the kitchen sink and the garbage disposal would just hum but not turn. I attempted to unjam it but it was not stuck it wouldn’t turn so I recommended replacing the unit which homeowner agreed to and I did my inspection. Also found that the pressure was high and the expansion tank was blown internally. They were hesitant at first but when I was half way thru installing the garbage disposal they opted to replace the PRV. Once I fully installed the garbage disposal and test it, it works properly no leaks or issues and I moved on to shut off the water and removed the old shut off and PRV. I then installed a new PRV and ball valve shut off and pressed it in place and tested the connections. Once I was done I turned on the water and checked for leaks which non were found or issues and I adjusted the press
Homeowner states that he went to the guest restroom located between kitchen, laundry room and garage and could hear water running through the wall next to the toilet and called us to see if there is an issue. Upon arrival homeowner greeted and showed me to the restroom and I could hear some water running but normal when water is running thru the pipe system. I asked homeowner to show me the location of each toilet and I check all the toilets and non were leaking the only drip came from a vanity faucet from an upstairs bathroom. I also checked the pressure and it is normal and I then went back to check in the first floor restroom and I couldn’t hear the water running anymore. Lastly I checked the hose bibs outside but both don’t leak and homeowner also couldn’t hear water running either and is satisfied that I couldn’t find any leaks. I explained that if there is any water bill increase that I could come back but for now there isn’t anything I could find leaking.
Upon arrival customer stated there was water coming up from the floor. Informed the customer the water was coming from the sewage ejection pit. Gave customer estimate to pull the lid and pump. Customer approved estimate. After pulling the lid and pump I noticed the pump was clogged. I got the object out of the pump and put it back in the pit and plugged it back up and it did not turn back on. I informed the customer the pump would have to be replaced and also informed the customer that the check valve and ball valve were not tied in the correct way. Gave customer estimate to replace pump, check valve, and ball valve. Customer approved the estimate. I informed the customer I would have to return tomorrow morning to install the pump. Returned today to install new sewage ejection pump, check valve, and ball valve. I cut out old valve and check valve. I replaced the pump with the new pump and tied it in with the new check valve and ball valve. Tested system and system is working properl
