Really great visit. Shawn was knowledgeable, kind, respectful, going through every step of my leak and its repair with me. I love when people repairing my home leave me more knowledgeable about my home than when they arrived, especially when it comes to preventing future problems. Shawn did all of the above in addition to fixing the leak relatively quickly, and for an affordable price. That's great because repairing the ceiling from the water damage is going to hurt badly enough. Thanks, Shawn and Chen Plumbing!

Chase & colleague came for the first problem, but 2 days later he came back when we realized it wasn’t fully resolved and finished the job. Liked that we had consistency in the plumber; no need to re-explain everything. When a new unrelated issue arose the next day, Chase was back. He and his workmate spent the day fixing a system problem, and gave us a referral for the restoration that would be required. Chase was a good communicator. I can’t really speak to Chen’s pricing question: all but the first problem (clogged sink) needed immediate help, so we didn’t call around for price quotes.

Chen Plumbing customer service was very professional. Kept me updated on appointments. Chase and crew were very professional. Kept me updated throughout entire process. Able to locate and fix a main water line issue that 2 other plumbers would not address. Entire process was quick and efficient. I will use them again!!!

We had an apparently hard to fit bathtub pipe and multiple plumber visits had us buying several different replacement tub spouts, none of which would work. Finally, Tim Chen came out and fixed it with the original hardware. We can finally shower and can return the other three items for a refund! Woo hoo! Thanks, Tim

1/12/26: Cut out combination of cast, copper, and pvc drain lines from the kitchen in the crawlspace. Stubbed out a new drain in the kitchen cabinet and ran three inch pvc to the other side of the crawlspace. Replaced water heater with a 50 gallon lowboy. Will return tomorrow to finish the last of the work quoted for the drain repipe. Made customer aware that the existing cast for the washing machine coming through the foundation is coming out evenly pitched and slightly lower than needed. Due to this, we can’t correct the slope of the existing line. 1/13/26: Returned and finished the under sink plumbing for the kitchen and guest bathroom. Pulled both toilets and replaced through the floor with pvc. Cut out all drain piping below the house. Connected the kitchen and guest bathroom bathroom to the main in new pvc. Capp new line going back towards the master bath. Will connect that bathroom group tomorrow on return. Made customer aware that pipes aren’t connected below any of the maste
Came out today to install the water pressure reducing valve and the condensate neutralizer for the new ice machine. Also added a supply line for the new dishwasher and hooked up. Everything seems to be running as it should be.
Call for leak inside wall in bathroom. Arrived and met with Cristy (Ms. Marjory’s daughter). She showed me the issue, which was a drippin pipe inside the wall in the bathroom near the front door. The pipe has a leak, and looks like when repairs were being conducted a board was moved, nd the board had a screw that has very slightly pierced, or caused a drip over time. The toilet shut off valve and copper were Lao severely corroded. When testing the pressure at the water heater I found water pressure extremely low. I believe the prv is behind a fridge in the kitchen. However, recent flood damage and construction have resulted in a lot of furniture and belongings piled in front of this cabinet nd fridge, so I did not have an opportunity to move it. Ms. Cristy does not know where the water comes in to the home, aside from the street mainline. I recommend replacing the leaking section of pipe, as well as the corroded section. Furthermore, I believe the prv may be in late stages of failure
For this job we install a new seal for the customer supplied faucet. In order for us to replace the old seal, we needed to uninstall the faucet amd reinstall the faucet to install the new seal that the customer provided us to install. After the install, we soaked the granite to see if it would leak down, no leaks customer is all set. New seal had the perfect fit, the previous seal looked like it was cut the installed after the faucet was installed. No issues at this time
Repipe copper to uponor pex A , connected back to the existing copper for two upstairs bathroom and one hose bib in the back under the deck
For this customer, we jetted the sewer line from the roof for the kitchen stack. The line was full of grease and once we camera the line indicating that there were no issues there was a small issue with the cast-iron between 26 and 33 feet the bottom of the cast-iron has to run it out so we gave an estimate for that repair. The customer doesn’t want to go to the lining route rather than the repair due to the higher costs with that in mind. The customer also wanted to get their pressure reducing valve replaced because the pressure was very low. It was reading at 40 psi However whenever a toilet was flushed went down to 30 psi indicating the water pressure so therefore we had to locate the pressure reducing valve in order to install a new one. We had to dig it up and install a new valve box along with the pressure reducing valve in a new main shut off valve backfilled with gravel. The customer also wanted the excess dirt in their backyard once that was complete no leaks on the pressure r
Client called us out due to a leak from upstairs toilet that has caused damage in garage ceiling. There’s 4 separate spots in the garage ceiling which tells me there’s more leaks up there than the toilet. Water pressure is 100 psi, safe range is 50-79 psi. The water heater is rusted out and leaking in multiple places. Today we rebuilt the upstairs leaking toilet that was leaking from the bottom of the fill valve with new fill valve, new flapper, and new toilet supply line. Tested, no leaks or issues. Gave the estimates to address these other major plumbing issues and client wants to think it over. Will return tomorrow morning with taller ladder to cut Sheetrock garage ceiling and figure out where the rest of the water is coming from. CLIENT RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHEETROCK REPAIR NECESSARY. TOILET REBUILD IS NO WARRANTY DUE TO HIGH WATER PRESSURE.
Return to install water heater and replace pressure regulating valve. Removed old water heater. In order to remove unit, we removed small quarter inch trim pieces of both sides and the bottom of access doorway. I removed door, and reinstalled door after the work. New water heater was installed. Expansion tank and mounting bracket installed. New shit off valve. Removed excessive fittings and removed tension from pipes. Re routed t&p line. Installed drip pan under unit. Secured vent with screws instead of just tape. Removed pressure regulating valve and replaced with new valve. Lao remove all remaining galvanized piping from this section. Installed new hose Bibb, including dedicated shut off valve. Silicone applied to surrounding of hose spigot. When pressurizing I did notice some crossover occur in, which was a complaint previously. Charlie expressed nothin*that is consistent with hot water crossing when pressurized, and expressed this as a low priority as it was not causing hot wa
Cusomter wanted quote. Will decide after other quotes.
Customer stated they randomly smell a sewer smell in the living room area. Did quick inspection and did not notice any smell or any visual indications of why they would randomly have a sewer smell even when no one is home. Left a quote for to do a smoke test for further diagnostic.
Customer had tankless water heater needing to be flushed. Flushed system for 45mins with solution to clean system. Also did a minor check in the area for smell of gas, while heater was flushing. After flush cleared system from solution and ensured heater was functioning properly. Gave customer options for further investigation of potential gas smell.
Client called us out due to their cast iron toilet flange in main floor half bathroom being broken. Client was attempting to replace it themselves, but it is on cast iron pipe in a slab. Gave estimate of $550 to replace that toilet flange and fastened to the concrete, and setting the toilet back client had already pulled up. They declined to move forward. Collected SF.
