Technician Mike responded to a call concerning installation of 3 customer supplied toilets. Mike had already done work at this residence before installing a water softener, main water shut off, shut off to the water heater and a customer supplied Toto toilet in the upstairs master bathroom. Upon arrival Mike met Susan again. She informed Mike that they purchased 3 of the same Toto model toilet Mike installed last time in the master bathroom. Mike then tested all toilet water stops verifying they work. Mike then started in the upstairs hallway bathroom replacing that toilet. No shims needed. Mike then replaced the toilet in the first floor half bathroom. After pulling this toilet you can see that a flange repair had been made raising the flange level. Also upon setting the new Toto toilet, the back base of the toilet touched the trim on the wall. Mike then used shims around the toilet to balance it out and placed white caulking around the base of the toilet. Mike then replaced the
Technician Mike responded to a call concerning the 1” main water shut off valve dripping, the 3/4” shut off valve for the water heater dripping and installation of a customer supplied toilet. Upon arrival Mike met Susan, Jason’s wife. She showed him to the downstairs mechanical room where the water heater, main water shut off and water softener is. Mike noticed the water softener was very aged and asked Susan if she would mind if he took a water hardness test to see if it still works. She agreed. Susan then showed Mike to the master bathroom where the customer supplied toilet was. Mike then preformed a water pressure test showing 80 psi, this is good, and a water hardness test. The test showed 20 grams of hardness proving the existing softener no longer worked. Mike asked Susan if she was interested in a new one, she said yes. Multiple options were given. Mike then installed the customer supplied Toto toilet, an new quarter turn 1” main shut off valve, a new 3/4” quart turn shut of
