After arriving I talked to Collin he stated that they had water in the basement an when they checked the sump pump they found that the pit was over full an the pump was not pumping. They manually lifted the float an the pump started but would not make the next cycle by its self as it should. After inspection I found that the pump was leaking an that there was oil in the water. Also I found that the check was not working as it should an was leaking from many different spots. We installed a 1/2 hp pump with a new check valve after testing everything worked as it should no other problems were found.

Alex was called out due to a suspicion of leaking water lines for the master shower. Upon arrival Alex was greeted by the homeowner and quickly explained that the incident that happened was due to trying to replace the shower valve and a pipe broke. Also, homeowner Bill was interested in getting quotes for capping the lines to the shower, installing a new shower valve, and finally options to replace the existing Jacuzzi tub with a new shower. Prices were quoted out from just capping the waterlines, all the way up to installing a brand new shower. When given options, Bill decided to just go for the waterline cap today but all quotes are being sent out to their email and Bill will give us a call if he decides to go with us for his bathroom remodel ! The waterline capping option Includes cutting into drywall to access waterlines in order to cap off existing waterlines going to shower. The work was agreed upon and began, the waterlines behind the shower were capped, and the water was turne

Braden came out and met Charles. Charles had an issue with no hot water in the home and was interested in making some improvements on his shower upstairs. He let us know that he sometimes runs out of hot water when he is doing laundry. Tankless wasn’t an option due to having a lot of uncertainty where we can vent the appliance. His tank had one month left on warranty so we encouraged him to purchase and have a new water heater installed. We presented him options and he chose option 2 going with good leap. Charles also became a Spartan shield member! We are doing the water heater same day and we will schedule the the shower work upstairs on Monday morning 3/6/23. We also found that the pressure reducing valve had failed and also the expansion tank has failed. We let Charles know that this is most likely why his tank failed. - Install a new 50 gallon tank water heater with a great warranty at 6 years. - Get hot water running fast with. - Add on a “tank booster” to add up to 35% more

Technician Andrew was dispatched to Justin‘s home in regards to Sump pump float switch sticking when unit is in operation. Justin address concern for the operation of this new sump pump and float. Through evaluation was performed on this soft pump only today and found that secondary battery sump that was being reused did not have a check valve and primary pump was recirculating water through secondary pump not properly removing subsoil water and potentially flooding basement. Justin stated over our last rainy day (Friday ) he was in his basement the entire day with shop vac in hopes of preventing his basement from flooding due to this sump pump installation. Under warranty technician Andrew removed entire pump set up and replaced piping with new check valves (2) and offset fittings to allow for proper operation and to prevent water from splashing outside of sump crock. Justin was on site the entire process and explain to him that maintaining the system is paramount highly recommend

Alex installed a brand new model 17 hose bib. The old hose bib that had a damaged handle and stem was removed and replaced with a brand new professional grade hose bib. Work was performed and the water was turned back on once the new hose bib was installed. It was explained to Mark that the silicone used on the new hose bib goes on white and dries clear overtime. Everything was shown to Mark and he is satisfied with the work done today! Thank you for using Spartan plumbing for your home needs !

Technician Mike responded to a callback concerning a lavatory sink in the master bathroom leaking. Spartan installed both lavatory sinks in this master bathroom on 02/20/23. Mike came out on 02/24/23 to address a leak on one of the sinks. Today Mike responded to address a leak on the other one. Mike filled up the sink 2 times and drained it but could not recreate the leak. Jake said it was just like the other sink. A very small amount of water but not sure if the source. Mike then loosed the nut between the sink bowl and drain component. Put plumbers dope on the rubber gasket between the drain components and base of the sink, then retightened the nut. The sink was filled up a total of 6 times and drained. No leaks were found. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING SPARTAN AS YOUR PROFESSIONAL HOME PLUMBING COMPANY!

Technician Andrew met with Rachel and her husband in regards to a water leak that dispatched the local fire department and prevented clients from being in home since Tuesday. Water leak caused damage to ceiling, carbon monoxide detectors to fail and act as though there was a an emergency which prevented Rachel and her husband and small children to stay in the home. I proceeded to start a thorough evaluation of the homes water supply and tested incoming water pressure at hose faucet located in backyard. Test found water pressure higher than normal at 80 psi and should be regulated properly down to a safe consistent working level in addition Home does not have a easily accessible main water shut off valve in case of an emergency along with a thermal expansion tank above water heater. Rachel stated warranty company sent out a plumber to make repairs to the same tub and shower recently. As we were talking they did say that they’ve heard a hissing noise when their 10-year-old daughter w

Upon arrival Krista told Nick that the sewer was backing up and sewage came out onto the laundry floor and parts of the finished basement. Krista told Nick that they have to have the roots cut out every so often. Krista also told Nick they have had multiple options to dig up the line to have a permanent solution but did not want to proceed with anything. Nick Cleared main from 3” clean out in basement clogged with roots. Nick ran the line100’ 4xs to make sure line was clear. We are only able to get 3” blade’s through the line due to the 3” clean out. Technician Mike responded to a call concerning water coming through the ceiling in the garage. Upon arrival Mike met Cierra who directed Mike to the garage. A hole was already in the ceiling from water damage and the master bathroom tub/shower drain components were visible. Mike then asked to view the water heater. Cierra showed Mike to the basement where a 50 gallon electric water heater is. Cierra stated that they have been running out of hot water. Mike then preformed a water pressure test of the home showing 70 psi. This is good. Mike then viewed the existing water softener. It is very aged and does not have salt in it. Mike then explained how a water softener functions. Mike then asked to view the master bathroom. Cierra directed him upstairs. At this time Cierra signed off on a extended diagnosis. Mike then removed the access panel behind the tub/shower. All the wet insulation was removed. You can see down into the garage. Mike then had Cierra turn the tub on. A leak was disc

Alex was called out due to a suspicion of drainage piping under the newly installed kitchen sink not functioning correctly. Upon arrival it was found that the drainage piping under the sink it did not quite fit anymore and needed some adjustments in order to fit. Prices were quoted out from installing a customer supplied faucet all the way down to just replacing drain components in the sink. The price was agreed on and the drainage piping was installed. Although we cannot get the sink to run through the drainage piping, water was poured down the drain and the new piping was not leaking! It was also noticed that the existing basket strainer was leaking from when the homeowner installed it the day before. It was offered to give out a quote to fix basket strainer, but the homeowner decided to take it on himself. There is a 1 year parts and labor warranty on the piping installed today!
