Fast, efficient, professional service

Spartan Plumbing was awesomely responsive to a first time customer. From the initial call to Jaime coming out within less that 2 hours and resolving a relative emergency to presenting options for longer term remediation, Spartan was supremely professional and helpful. Highly recommended and my go to plumber in the future.

Always awesome

If you want something done the right way, call Spartan. Braden has been here a few times for various jobs, and he’s always professional, does well to explain everything, and even checked up to make sure previous work they’d done to install a water softener was still good- going as far as grabbing the nearby salt and filling it up for us. Love Spartan- Love Braden.

Alex was called out due to a suspicion of a leaking shower valve, upon arrival it was found that Ryan, the homeowner had started the project of replacing the valve but was having some trouble so he decided to call Spartan plumbing. Ryan already had the replacement shower valve with him so all he needed us to do was to install the customer supplied shower valve. Price was given out to replace the customer supplied shower valve and agreed-upon. The work was began, and the brand new three handle shower valve was installed. Also, the trim kit that came with the new shower valve was installed. The water was turned back on, and no leaks!

Nick called out spartan plumbing due to his shower valve in the master bathroom. Currently valve stem metal had snapped off with trying to replace the cartridge. Homeowner has the Moen cartridge himself. Toby the technician evaluated the issue. Toby provided multiple options for removal and replacement of valve cartridge and also replacement of the entire valve. If replacement of the cartridge does not work then replacement of entire valve will be necessary. Toby replaced shower cartridge and tested for leaks. No leaks found at this time. Also reinstalled previous faceplate and handle.

Technician Mike responded to a call concerning bulging drywall in the basement ceiling. Upon arrival Mike met Jason who directed him to the basement. There he explained that he first noticed it last week and the kitchen area is right above it. Jason then said that he hasn’t seen any water or moisture around the bulge either. Mike examined the bulge and agreed with Jason. There is no evidence of past or current water damage. Mike took photos of it and told Jason he would speak with a Spartan crew member that does drywall and get his opinion. Mike then asked to view the water heater and main water shut off. Jason then directed Mike to the basement mechanical room where the 50 gallon natural gas power vent water heater is. The home was built in 2018. Jason and his family moved into the home in 2020. Upon examining of the water heater, it was discovered that the thermal expansion tank had failed. It is now holding water instead of air. Mike also asked if the water heater had ever been flu

Upon arrival Matt told Nick that he had an annual inspection through his Spartan shield membership. And that one of the findings was a water heater needed. Alex H. Was out for the inspection and gave Matt multiple options for 40 gallon water heaters. Matt called Spartan back and wanted an estimate for a tankless water heater to be installed. Nick gave multiple options to Matt one included the tankless Matt asked the benefits of both tankless and tank water heaters. Matt would like to discuss these options with his wife. Nick will give a follow up call on Monday February 6th.

Alex was called out to do an annual inspection for the Spartan shield membership. Alex inspected four bathrooms, one kitchen, one water heater and one water softener as well as a sump pump and hose bibs outside along with all of the shut off valves inside of the house. Alex noticed while inspecting, that the water heater was starting to age and noticed some problems with it as well. The venting for the water heater was not completely on the vent hood of the heater, making a possibility of a carbon dioxide leak into the house. Also noticed that there was not a Length of pipe ran for the temperature and pressure relief valve. On top of that it was inspected that the gas shut off valve was old and unreliable. Other than that, all other plumbing in the house looks healthy and it is inspected that it will last further more.

Janie called us out for some concerns with her water heater that was put in we made some recommendations as far as the electrical upgrades needed, the fresh air for the unit, having its own condensate pump, the gas line, and water treatment. We also found that the kitchen faucet on the hot side is very poor and the garbage disposal is jammed up. Janie wanted us to do the top option and schedule same day as when an electrician can come out to install a dedicated breaker for our water heater. We will need a dedicated double receptacle for the water heater and a condensate pump. We also will tap into the roof flashing in order to upgrade her venting for the water heater. - Clean up the install of the water heater.
- Install a dedicated fresh air line up top on the existing flashing.
- Install a separate drain box on the laundry drain in order to have the drain for the water heater be on a pump. This includes to put the drain on a pump.
- Flush the unit with a descale soluti

Matt was out to Jim and Holly Cross’s to look into them having no hot water. After hearing about their previous issues and discovering their existing hot water heater was 10 yrs old. We decided to install a new 50 gallon electric water heater with a 6 year worry free warranty. When attempting to drain old water heater we discovered that the existing sump pump was inoperable, along with cracked piping. The Cross’s decide to let us provide and install new sump pump along with minor piping. While attempting to install new sump pump, it became obvious that the cracked piping was more extensive than originally thought. We replaced a section of horizontal pvc that the sump pump ties into. The Cross’s have hot water and new sump pump has been tested. All good
