Plumbing service call. Plumber found tankless unit in need of service. Unit installed in 2004. Flushed out and cleaned burner assembly. Found that it does not have filtration and needs for proper operation, up to Rinnai specs. Tested after service and found running correctly. Did look at deposits in flushing fluid and found a lot of scale and copper flakes. Indication is that unit may develop a pinhole leak de to hard water.
