MyGuy plumbing is a 5 star company, Chris came to give me an estimate which was reasonable and I scheduled an app for the following week. Chris and his helper showed up on time and did a great job removing my old tub and installing the new one.The guys worked hard all day to finish on time and everything was perfect, I definitely recommend this company.. Arrived on site customer stated that they have a leaking tub spout. Upon inspection found that the threads for the tub spout had rotted out and the diverter on it was broken. Recommend replacement of the tub spout. Also found that there was a crack on the plastic housing for the shower head recommend replacement. Gave options and customer would like to move forward with replacement of both items, installed new shower head and tub spout. Tested all work and everything appears to be in working order and there appears to be no leaks at this time collected payment. Customer also has a 3” vent coming off the water heater and ties into the furnace as well and it is not up to code and can cause issues with drafting. Recommend upgrading vent to 4” required by code. Gave options and customer would not like to move forward at this time.
Installed new shower head and tub spout in Neptune nj
Arrived on site to complete customers annual home inspection. Customer stated that they would just like the work we did inspected. After inspecting work. Everything appears to be in working order at this time there are no leaks.
Arrived on site customer stated that they would like to pay for membership program have annual inspection done, boiler cleaning and had questions on the water heater. Performed annual inspection and found 1. Water heater venting is leaking recommend having a chimney company to come out inspect and or replace 2. Toilet shut off valve is seized in basement 3. All shut off valves on first floor are seized 4. First floor faucet is leaking from handle and both handles are stiff to turn 5. Missing stoppers in sinks 6. Interested in replacement on water heater Gave options and customer is not interesting in performing any work at this time they are going to be remodeling the bathrooms. He will need some time to make a decision on the water heater he would like to have installed. Cleaned boiler burner and housing, shut off and drained down hose spigot.
We had recently installed a laundry sink for the washer in the basement, we arrived today because the client states that the breaker trip when the pump and dryer turn on at the same time, also a weird smell coming from the pump and sink. I sniffed the vent and I smell just stagnant water and bacteria in the pump basin. I advised the client to periodically pour some bleach in the sink to help reduce any odors that maybe coming from it. Also, I advised to the client to have an electrician come out to further diagnose the issue with the electrical. While on sight, client had asked me to perform a diagnostic check up on the existing sump pump and battery back up system. Age of both pumps are undetermined at this time, but both pumps are working as they should and pumping the water out of the pit. No real issues that I can see at this time.
Customer stated that their sump pump wasn’t working after inspecting we noticed that the GFI outlet that the sump pump is plugged into tripped. When it was raining last week. I believe that the outlet for the sump pump got water on it from the rain and tripped the outlet. Myguy reset the GFI plugged in the sump pump and tested. At this time the sump pump is discharging and operating as should. Due to the age of the sump pump MyGuy plumbing recommends replacing the sump pump.
Arrived on site to perform plumbing inspection. Found washing machine single lever valve was dripping. Client said washing machine backs up every once in a while and everything else in the home is draining fine. Offered laundry package as existing drain pipe is 1 1/2 pvc. Would give back washing machine valves with laundry sink package.
Annual inspection in Neptune city NJ
Arrived on site and installed pilot assembly tested work and everything appears to be in working order and there appears to be no leaks at this time. Collected payment.
Arrived on site customer stated that the boiler would not fire. Contacted tech support and they stated that it is the gas valve replaced gas valve did not work contacted them again they stated that it was the control board replaced board and that was not the case contacted them a third time and they stated that it was a clogged orifice on the pilot assembly. Will need to return tomorrow to replace pilot assembly.
Arrived on site client stated her toilet upstairs was slowly draining. Upon further inspection when flushing the toilet the toilet gurgled indicating a clog. All other fixtures are draining as they should. After snaking toilet we flushed multiple times. The toilet is now flushing as it should.
