Arrived on site clients states he has a sewer smell near the downstairs bathroom and thinks it could be the toilet. Upon inspection toilet is very sturdy and there does not appear to be any leaks from the base of the toilet or in the crawlspace area. Client states that he gets the sewer smell only once in a while. He also would like for us to replace his current widespread lav faucet upstairs. Cold side handle is hard to turn and underneath appears to be very corroded and rusted. Took a deposit for the widespread lav faucet and we will return another day to install faucet.
Arrived on site client stated they had a leak under the sink and the main shutoff valve would not work. It appears the valve for the dishwasher was leaking. Called the water company to turn the water off so that we can safely replace the main and change the valves under the kitchen sink. Replaced the main shutoff valve with a 3/4 ball valve and once that was done we removed both valves under the sink and tested for leaks. There are no leaks at this time and client is now a member.
Arrived to the home, client states leaking boiler drains for their washer. The boiler drains were original to the home and have a heaved leak when you turn them on. I provided options for replacement and client would like to go through with the work quoted. Shut off water to the home and drained down the system. Unsoldered the existing valves Prepped piping for new install. Supplied and installed two brand new boiler drains. Secured my connections and turned the home back on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. *Home is on a slab, client is aware that the riser piping for hot and cold are backwards.
Arrived to the home, customer states no water pressure on the cold side of there existing faucet. I first determined if the aerator was clogged which it was not. I next looked under the kitchen sink and discovered that the plumbing in the home is very new, with all quarter turn valves under the kitchen sink. The cold valve was completely off resulting in not having any cold after coming from the faucet. I turned the valve on and everything is now back to normal. I checked for any leaks under the sink and there are no leaks at this time. *Customer will need a hard copy of the invoice mailed to their home.
Hardness 2 PH 7.6 Chlorine .3ppm Pressure 65psi Arrived to the home, customer states that they have a leak above the existing water heater, water heater is only three years old. Client also states they have had to replace water heater constantly over the last 6 years due to leaks. After a very through explore of the system I have discovered 4 issues with the water heater and piping. There is an expansion tank at the water heater that has failed, another expansion tank at the main that is much older and has failed as well, a leaking solder joint above the water heater, lastly, the temp and pressure relief valve for the water heater is leaking at a flow rate comparable to a faucet. There is a check valve at the main. Client stated that the relief valve had started leaking and someone installed a condensate pump for the blow off so it does not flood the first floor. Arrived on site client stated her kitchen faucet was leaking. Upon inspection client has a faucet that is leaking underneath and would like for us to take it off and reinstall it. Let client know beforehand that if it does not work we would have to still charge for our time and we would credit back half of today’s work towards faucet replacement. Client also stated that her alarm for sump pump was going off and a pipe underneath was leaking hot water. Upon inspection it appeared that the boiler was leaking at one point but is not leaking at the moment. We will need to send out our boiler tech to further diagnose the issue.
Replaced cartridges for lav faucets in Belmar, NJ.
2 new single handle lav faucets Arrived for leak In ceiling. We replaced tub waste and overflow in same spot in November. Went up to bathroom to find that shower was used with liner outside of tub. Water was all over the floor and cracks were in corners telling me water was making its way downstairs. Checked all plumbing in bathroom. Toilet was loose but I tightened it and is now sturdy no leaks. Noticed one faucet was rusty and leaking. There were 2 faucets in bathroom. MyGuy supplied and installed new single handle faucets and tested for leaks, there are none at this time.
Repaired gas line for water heater and furnace in Colts Neck NJ
Arrived to the home for a gas leak near the water heater and furnace. Client had called the gas company and the turned off the butterfly valve before the gas cock for both water heater and furnace. Client had three leaks on the gas piping going to the appliances. One on the flex line, another on a flare adapter, and one the butterfly valve. I provided options for repairs and client would like to go through with the work quoted and become a member. Disassembled all gas piping for water heater and furnace. Checked threads on piping. Supplied and installed new gas cock in the place of the butterfly valve. Supplied and installed new gas flex for water heater. Secured all connections and bubble tested all the joints on the gas pipe. There are no leaks at this time. Relit water heater and started up furnace for client. *The existing water heater is very old, client is aware and that replacement is highly recommended. Left options for replacement. *Client is now a member.
Arrived on site client stated their toilet was leaking at the base. Upon inspection in the crawlspace client has a led bend and toilet is leaking when flushed in the crawlspace. There is also a trap for the shower that appears to be leaking at one point but is not leaking t the moment and it has a no hub 90 on it. Left options to cut out and replace it with pvc. Customer would like All States Restoration out for thier peace of mind then will call back to have us perform work. Will credit Visual Diagnostic towards work.
Arrived to the home, client states their under counter mounted sink has dropped since he replaced the disposal. I provided options for repairs, due to not having the brackets on site, client has requested to have us come back on Tuesday morning, first stop, to fix the sink. Client also would like to become a member. I have accepted a deposit to secured client spot on the schedule for Tuesday. Options they have choose includes the membership.
Arrived to home for high water bill. Meter was spinning. Found that hose bib was slightly turned on and water was spraying. Went into crawl to confirm there were no other leaks. There are none at this time. Meter is not spinning. Removed all hoses from bibs
