Arrived on site client stated that they had a back up out of the shower when using water in the home but it resolved itself. Upon arrival I ran water in the home to make sure that there was no longer a back up. Checked the cleanout at the street and saw water flowing. Collected the visual diagnostic for today.
Hardness 5 Ph 7.2 Pressure 35psi. Annual plumbing inspection completed. Attempted to unclog lav sink, was able to pull a lot of hair and debris from the drain. The drain is draining better but is still backing up slightly. All the valves in the home are working great and no visual leaks can be seen at this time. We are unable to go into the crawlspace due to there being about 6inches of water throughout the crawlspace. Lastly, there is a freeze break that going into an addition of the home, the access opening to enter the crawl in approximately 9inches and both me and my partner are unable to fit. We are going to reach out to client to get them back on the schedule with a smaller technician to give a proper estimate to fix the freeze and break and relocate the water main to inside the home.
Arrived on site clients stated thier washing machine was backing up out of the laundry sink. Upon inspection further down the line the kitchen line is bellied and packed with grease. Client stated this would only happen sometimes. It is very possible that if the washing machine was running at the same time the kitchen was being used that that’s when it would back up out of the laundry sink. Today I cut out a 10 ft section of the bellied kitchen line and offered to the client for us to come back and hydro jet the entire washing machine and kitchen line going to the main. We will be returning tomorrow morning to hydro jet.
Arrived to the home, client would like an estimate for replacement of there existing 40 gallon natural draft water heater. There is nothing wrong with the water heater, client is just looking to be proactive. While going over the scope of the work, the client explained that they have two leaks in the basement, one is the existing single handle washing machine valve, and a leaking brass plug that is going to nothing. I provided options and client would like to fix the active leaks and get a quote for water heater replacement. Turned off the water to the home. Drained down the system. Disconnected and removed existing washing machine valve. Supplied and installed new brand new boiler drain valves for the washer both on hot and cold side. Secured my connections. Cut out and removed leaking brass plug. Prepped piping for new install. Supplied and installed new copper pipes and fittings. Secured those connections. Turned the water back onto the home to check for leaks. There are no leaks
Replaced 40 gallon natural draft water heater. Barnegat, NJ 08005
Arrived on site to perform plumbing inspection. Upon inspection I found a saddle valve under the kitchen sink that was for the icemaker. Recommended to replace the icemaker valve under the kitchen sink and since I’m already working down there I can replace all valves under the sink. Client would like to just replace the saddle valve for today and I also unclogged the bathroom sink as part of the annual inspection free service. Turned water back on to test for leaks and there are none at this time.
Arrived to the home, client states that their existing three handle shower valve does not divert the water from the tub spout to the shower head. When I arrived on site, client had stated that someone had try to replace the tub spout and ultimately the tiles had fell. The existing shower valve is in very rough shape and replacement is highly recommended. At this time the client would like use just to repair the stud out for the tub spout and get it prepped for the new tiles to be installed. Unsoldered existing copper stub out. Supplied and installed new copper pipe and fittings. Soldered new connections and turned the shower on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. *Can not warranty any customer supplied products.
Arrived on site client stated that he would like for us to install his customer supplied vanity, lav faucet, and kitchen faucet. Left options to install fixtures supplied by us or customer supplied. Client does not want to move forward at this time. We will credit back the visual diagnostic if they decide to move forward with work.
Arrived on site customer stated that they would like their condensate neutralizer replaced. When arrived on site we also noticed it was time to replace the peak Flo filter. MyGuy plumbing gave customer options to complete everything. Customer would like to move forward with all work after all work was completed, My guy plumbing tested all work for leaks and at this time there are no leaks found everything is working as should my guy plumbing called Navien to document replacing filter and replacing condensate neutralizer median. New hose bib with shut off valve Arrived to home for broken pipe. Upon inspection found that hose bib blew apart. Customer thought she had problems with toilet but found there was nothing wrong once water was back on. Under lav sink drainage was completely disconnected causing it to leak anytime it was used. Customer was interested in membership so instead of charging for 1 item under lav sink I offered price of membership instead. There is more work to be done in the home. After turning water back on noticed ball valve before the meter dripping onto gas line below. Could not turn water off at the curb. Customer will be calling to get on schedule hopefully next week to take care of 2 valves. Finished work and tested for leaks there are none at this time.
Hardness 4 PH 7.4 Chlorine 0.3 ppm Pressure 70psi Arrived to the home, client has an older Kohler one piece toilet that constantly runs. They have another Kohler toiler that is much newer. I dye tabbed both toilets and the new Kohler passed the test, while the older one piece failed my test very quickly. I provided options for the client and they asked how much it would be for just a new direct replacement flapper. I showed the client the benefits of the MyGuy Plumbing Membership and I advised to them that I can replace the flapper only if they wanted to become a member. They would like to join and get the toilet to stop running. I replaced the flapper and the toilet is retaining water and working correctly. I advised to the client that I can not provide any warranty on any existing parts for the Kohler one piece toilet, client is aware. *Client is now a membership
Arrived on site client stated they had a leak under the kitchen sink and that it was backed up. Upon inspection the basket strainer on the left appears to be the cause of the leak. Unsure of what the clog was could’ve been frozen but the snaking seemed to do the trick. When done I ran tons of hot water and filled both sinks up multiple times. There are no leaks at this time and sink is now draining as it should.
Arrived to the home, client stated that they had flushed their toilet and it did not refill. When I arrived the client stated that the toilet all of a sudden refilled. I flushed their toilet numerous times and it is work properly. The piping for the toilet is wall roughed and it is on an outside wall. That pipe is the only pipe in the bathroom group that is on an outside wall. Everything is working as it should at this time. I advised to the client that there is a way where I could floor roughed the shut off valve so it won’t be on an outside wall anymore. I will leave an estimate for that service.
