Visually Inspected backflow devices on site. Location has (1) DC backflow device on the fire line for the building suppression system, and (1) RP backflow device on the domestic water system. No correction is needed, but an updated test may need to be required and supplied to the city if they request it.
Made repairs on 1 inch copper line going to a backflow preventer. It had burst due to freezing.
Plumbing Installation: Installing a new toilet in a bathroom remodel, I started by removing the old fixture and preparing the area. After securing the toilet flange and wax ring, I carefully positioned the toilet bowl and tank for stability. Completing the installation with caulking and water supply connection, I conducted thorough testing to ensure a leak-free and functional toilet. My meticulous installation ensures reliable toilet operation, preventing water leaks.
Removed and replaced 2 toilets supplied by the homeowner.
3/27- removed the wall hung toilet in the boys bathroom. It was on the first floor of school (behind the church hall and through the courtyard into the school. I have to return tomorrow to install a new wall hung toilet. I also replaced the gasket for the toilet spud in the girls bathroom right above where I am replacing the toilet 3/28- installed the new wall hung toilet in the boys bathroom (in the preschool 1st floor, down the hall from the office). After the toilet was installed, I tested for leaks. All was dry and working as it should. Lastly, I caulked around the toilet.
Removed and replaced (3) toilets and rebuilt pedestal lavi in main floor powder bath.
Took urinal off of wall in thoroughly cleaned out internal parts of the trap way. Used large stain cleaner to Clean out drain line Behind the wall. Rehung the urinal And reattached flush otter valve. Tested OK, nothing backing up.
The existing art room sink drain was repiped to accommodate the new separator. The old separator was removed due to heavy corrosion. Once the new separator was installed, all connections were tested for leaks and all was dry. The separator is working as it should. A new pressure assist toilet was also installed in the mens room by the offices in the basement of the church. The old toilet was cracked at the base, so I removed the toilet and replaced with a new toilet, wax ring, bolts and supply.
Gave estimates for work. I am unable to track down a wall hung, pressure assist toilet. The only one I found was discontinued. We are still looking
Replaced waste and overflow assembly and ptrap on main floor tub.
- Cut out Cast-iron drain line from kitchen sink. - Replacement of cast iron with PVC piping. .- New piping with have proper slope and support to prevent waste backup issues in the future. - Tie on to two (2) additional 1-1/2” plastic drain Lines And an additional copper line to the 2” Kitchen sink line.
Water leaking and ceiling, Cut out wall to find location of the leak. Added on brass adapters and added on 10 feet of new pex piping as the repair. Turned on water to test.
Southside Plumbing repaired leaks in a couple different areas on the hot water main line. One area needed a shut off valve replaced and the other was a 45° elbow. Type L copper pipe and soldered fittings were used to reconnect the valve and the piping. Additionally there was a garbage disposal in the kitchen that needed to be replaced. The old unit was replaced with a new insinkerator provided by the homeowner.
