I'm horrible with names I think the name of repair man was Wes! He did the a super job and pleasant. Now I personally was surprised at the cost and that probably because I hadn't kept up with cost of repair. So I'll give you a middle star, but don't be bothered it's OK. Was really happy he got my issue taken care of on short notice. Will call again thanks

Professional Customer Service

Having used Southside Plumbing in the past, they are a great company. Excellent customer service and easy to work with. Our service tech, Chris, was very professional and knowledgeable. The only concern I have is; why does it cost almost $400 for 1/2 hour of work? That's a rate of $800 per hour for labor. I understand that there is a trip fee built into this rate, however, $800 per hour is quite steep. The materials used did not come to much.

Received a call back due to a slow drip at the union connection on the bottom of the meter yolk. The leak was mitigated, and the water line is back in service.

The wood floor is buckling around the main floor bathroom area. All bathroom fixtures on the main floor as well as the floor above were inspected for a potential leak. A couple minor issues were found with the bathroom, but nothing large enough to cause the damage. After further investigation, we found that the leak is coming from the waterline supplying the fridge. The line was disconnected and the shut off valve was bad too. Southside Plumbing replaced both the waterline and the shut off valve. The standing pressure was about 118 psi. Southside Plumbing also replaced the pressure regulator and set the pressure to 70 psi.

Called because their pressure regulating valve was leaking. Southside Plumbing cut out the old pressure regulating valve and installed a new one as well as the connections surrounding it. Southside Plumbing up the pressure to 65 psi. Parts and labor warranty for one year.

The customer called because he had a leak in the garage wall. He had speculated that this was coming from a hose bib. When the hose bib was cut out, it was noted that it had frozen and cracked at some point. Southside Plumbing installed a new hose bib and connections to it. Parts and labor warranty for one year.

There is an existing filter in the basement that can no longer be opened. The filter was replaced with a new unit provided by the homeowner. We attempted to clear the drain in the master bathroom that services the sinks. The line was snaked out but the drain is still a little slow. At this time we believe the issue is the pop up assemblies not popping up enough to let the water continuously drain.

Performed leak investigation to identify water occasionally leaking into living room through ceiling. Opened ceiling for access. Tested tub/shower and identified area of intermittent leaking is at the tub edge. It is trailing down the tub corner and leaking through the floor. Either leaking through the tile at the valve wall or leaking down from the upper tub edge and going through the floor tile. Recommend repair or replacement of the tile.

Customer called for several things throughout the home. She had purchased a new kitchen faucet and wanted us to install it. Southside Plumbing installed the customer supplied faucet and all the connections underneath the sink. There was a toilet that had been previously installed, and the seat was loose and part of the gasket was showing. Southside Plumbing pulled the seat and adjusted it. In the basement, the toilet was running occasionally. Southside Plumbing replaced all of the guts to the tank in the basement. Parts and labor warranty for one year.

Customer called because the rear hose bib which Southside Plumbing had replaced the guts on was sticking. Southside Plumbing adjusted the tightness level. The handle is now operating smoothly.

The hot water return line was repaired on a previous visit. When turning the water back on, the shutoff valve to the heater failed and would only open partially. Southside Plumbing replaced the valves with ball valves on the hot and cold lines. The valves were installed using soldered pipe and fittings.

The main drain stack is leaking down into the basement area from the floor above. A hole is cut in a coat closet upstairs to reveal the drain pipe, broken in multiple places. The pipe was replaced from the basement floor all the way up to just below the upper floor. A new cleanout was installed at the bottom of the stack along with an expansion joint to prevent excess stress from a shifting floor in the basement.
