Excellent

I'm horrible with names I think the name of repair man was Wes! He did the a super job and pleasant. Now I personally was surprised at the cost and that probably because I hadn't kept up with cost of repair. So I'll give you a middle star, but don't be bothered it's OK. Was really happy he got my issue taken care of on short notice. Will call again thanks

Response from Southside Plumbing, INC:

Professional Customer Service

Having used Southside Plumbing in the past, they are a great company. Excellent customer service and easy to work with. Our service tech, Chris, was very professional and knowledgeable. The only concern I have is; why does it cost almost $400 for 1/2 hour of work? That's a rate of $800 per hour for labor. I understand that there is a trip fee built into this rate, however, $800 per hour is quite steep. The materials used did not come to much.

Response from Southside Plumbing, INC:

Thanks for leaving us a review and letting us know Chris did a great job. We are sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with the cost. We have a price based on average time worked for a particular job so there are no surprises. Sometimes a job goes well and it takes a shorter time, but the experience level and instruction our plumbers go through does not come cheap. Thank you for being a loyal customer!

Southside plumbing replaced all 3 shutoff valves under kitchen sink. I reattached the hot and cold lines for the sink and tested for leaks, but I left water supply line for the dishwasher detached per homeowners request. Everything was on and working well when I left.

Made repairs on 1 inch copper line going to a backflow preventer. It had burst due to freezing.

Southside plumbing replaced sprinkler valve that had failed and was allowing water through, which caused a split pipe on he backflow inside the home. Removed split pipe and replaced hose bib that was under the backflow along with new pipe. We also added anew drain off valve below the hose bib so that homeowner can drain down any water that gets trapped in the line. Tested for leaks, no all our work was good. There was a slow drip on the first union on the backflow outside, which the homeowner had just replaced. I tried to tighten it, but it did not stop the drip. Recommended to homeowner to undo the union, and add more, Teflon, tape, and re-tighten and test for leaks.

One of the discharge lines going to a sump pump has burst due to freezing. The sump pump is located in the window well and the installation location is prone to freezing. Southside Plumbing cut out and removed the bad section of pipe. The bad section was replaced with new PVC.

Bradford White Model #RG240T6N This water heater holds 40 gallons of water and produces 75 gallons of water in the first hour. Water heater code now requires water heaters to have an expansion tank. The expansion tank protects the water heater, but requires a full functioning pressure reducing valve to properly protect the water heater.

The master shower valve was broken when the homeowner tried to fix the valve. I will cut into the wall to cap the lines so the water can be turned back on. We will return to replace the valve.

Client saw a leak spraying from the backflow preventer when the sprinklers were turned on. The leak was coming from a blow out port that was left open after winterization. When the blow out valve was closed the leak stopped. Another small drip was coming from the packing nut on the handle for the inside shut off valve going to the sprinklers. The nut was tightened and this valve has stopped leaking also.

The vacuum breaker connected to the sprinkler system has a leak on one of the blowout valves. Southside plumbing replaced the backflow blow out port and the leak has stopped. Client also asked about servicing the water heater. Pricing was given to do a rod replacement.

The tenant had a clogged kitchen sink drain. The water backed up into the sink very fast. This indicated either a major blockage of a clog very close to the sink. I checked the drain stack and it was empty. I pulled the trap to check and found a popsicle stick, hair, and some food clogging the trap. I emptied the trap and cleared the blockage. I ran the water in both basins to test. The water is draining free and clear with no leaks.

We talked about water conditioning for the whole house. I gave estimates that address all the concerns. Some can/should/need to be installed in conjunction with certain options. There is a lot of options and everything can be confusing. Please call with concerns and questions once you discuss your options. My name is Chris Hance you can reach me through the office @ 303-346-8426. All concerns can be addressed through the different options.

Client wanted pricing for bathroom repairs noted on an inspection report. Pricing was given to repair a tub spout, A toilet, and a bathroom sink. The sink is a builder grade sink with a glued overflow tray. The tray has sprung a leak that is only present when the sink is filled. The toilet rocks back-and-forth and is not properly secured to the floor. It is recommended to have the toilet reset to prevent leaks in the future. The tub spout is sticking out from the wall a half inch to an inch. With the right flow of water, water could end up back inside the wall through the opening behind the spout. The spout can be repaired by shortening the pipe it’s attached to. The water heater has already been repaired but pricing to replace the unit was provided as well. Dispatch fee was waived for giving water heater estimates.
