Finished hydrovac excavation job in Winston Salem today! Used our truck to safely expose multiple utility lines for the new medical office complex construction. This was a challenging site with a dense network of existing utilities - electric, gas, fiber optic, water and sewer all running through the work area. Our hydrovac technology allowed us to expose everything without a single line strike or service interruption. Created 8 inspection holes approximately 6' deep x 4' diameter using pressurized water and vacuum removal. Soil conditions were tougher than expected with a lot of clay, but our equipment handled it well. Removed approximately 4 cubic yards of material which was contained for proper disposal. The general contractor was super impressed with how clean and precise our excavation was compared to traditional mechanical digging.
