Here's a photo of one the steel piers being installed to hold up this condominium. It's different from our commonly used pier system because these are being installed through a tunnel under the building. Tunneling under a building to stabilize a foundation is an alternative to breaking through the flooring inside the building.

For this foundation repair project, we have some 250 Steel Piers being installed. The orange canister sitting on top of the bracket is part of the hydraulic pump that pushes the piers until they hit bedrock. You can see the tubes connecting the canister to the pump behind the foreman. With these piers strategically installed, they will stabilize the foundation for a lifetime.
Here is another section of the condominium we are doing a foundation repair on. These breakouts, or piers that are installed by breaking thru concrete, are temporarily covered with wood boards for safety reasons. Under each board is a hole already dug and ready for steel pier installation.

Unfortunately, our crews were rained out today and all of our foundation repair projects have been delayed.
