Ac diagnostic Found ac system clogged with cottonwood Recommend maintenance before we dive to far into a diagnostic Cleaned system check temperature split 10degrees split, system is low on r22 Filled system with 2lbs of r22 at 99.00 a lb per request by customer and tested operation. -check capacitor 75/10 turbo cap -check static pressure .51inwc on the supply side .41inwc on the return side - check amp draws on the condenser fan motor 1.1amps and the compressor 19amps - check temperature split 17 - compressor is struggling to work properly - refrigerant balance 55psi suction and 310psi liquid - torqued shrader cores and put new caps on Other Findings -found duct work to be in horrible shape, found a couple duct runs not hooked up, other duct run were kink and sagging, also found inefficient duct board boxes which restrict air flow total .92inwc is really bad which could have caused air conditioner failure.
