AC repair required parts that weren’t readily available and there were other unique issues that arose. The tech came out multiple times, including on his day off to try to make things work. He was very sympathetic to the situation and tried his best to get the AC running ASAP. While it still took about 5 days total to ultimately get the fix I never felt like I had been forgotten or that AC Pros wasn’t on top of it. Really appreciate the tech himself who went above and beyond to try to resolve it sooner.
Bob hadn’t seen my issue (leaking from the thermostat on the wall), but went about checking the unit and found it was clogged. Although he couldn’t confirm the likely explanation is that water followed the wire running from the unit to the thermostat. It’s truly the only thing that makes sense. He also offered some good insight on how it all worked and made valid recommendations to consider to ward off future issues.
Jason spent time looking at air flow and adjusting my unit and vents to maximize efficiency. He also explained things well so that I understood what the issues snd end goal were.
Cole was very thorough and explained things as he went along
Heatpump-checked filter, checked blower motor amps and inspected wiring and ducts .cleaned condenser coils and checked pressures .I did find customer ducts to have alot of build up and recommended duct cleaning. <br> Quoted $880
Checked all 3 heatpumps for and alarms , checked blower wheel and inspected wiring as well as changed filters, cleaned condenser coils , checked condensation lines and reversing valves .
Replaced thermostat, put a new 850 and set it up for equipment.
I investigated the recurring System Fault Issues. I can find nothing wrong with the System or the Thermostat. I discussed the issue with Joel. He agrees I need to contact Tech Support. The System is locking out every week or two. The Customer resets the Thermostat and the System runs for a week or two until the next incident. There are 3 newer Trane System’s here. The 2 older Systems are functioning without issue. The malfunctioning System is the newest one.
I was Dispatched to a no cooling call. Upon Arrival I Found the upstairs thermostat giving multiple error codes. Upon investigation I found the System had burned wires at the A/C Condenser that appear to have been chewed by a Rodent. I repaired the Burned wires and reset the System. Everything appears to be functioning as expected. At this time.
I was Dispatched for water coming out from behind the thermostat. I found a Air Handler in the attic that had a clogged primary drain line. The water was coming out of the secondary. I added a drain line isolator and cleared the drain. The clog was difficult and very sluggish to clear. I would highly recommend a new primary drain line and a new secondary pan and line. I recommend both lines come out and run down the outside wall instead of into to plumbing. If the line clogs again the Customer will need a plumber. Unless we rerun everything outside. $1,285.00 to replace the secondary drain pan and re-do the drain connections at the Air Handler. $2,950.00 to replace the secondary drain pan and both drain lines. We will run the drains outside and eliminate the plumbing connection.
Maintenance X 1. I cleaned and serviced the System. Everything appears to be functioning as expected. At this time. I received permission to replace their filter with one of ours. The Homeowner left her Mother who had no way to pay for the filter.
System had error code 126.00 on the thermostat loss of communication to the outdoor unit. Traced wires down and made sure everything was tight. System came on and operating properly at this time.
AC performance tuneup times three systems. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Checked thermostats. Checked outdoor units. Refrigerant levels are good at this time. Washed condenser coil‘s. Systems are operating at manufacture specs at this time.
Completed diagnostic: found low voltage short . Replaced 6 inches of t-stat wire at condenser. Also compressor had hard start up . Installed hard start kit and check refrigerant level System running ok at this time . Also talk to customer about gold membership he declined at this time . system is 18 years old and life expectancy 12 to 15 . informed homeowner system is on borrowed time.
Completed diagnosis, hot surface igniter and inducer draft are faulty. Recommended replacing both of them. Replaced both parts, everything is functioning properly. Also recommended replacing furnace and maintenance agreement declined right now.
Performed maintenance on heat piump, everything is in specifications.
Completed diagnosis, primary drain line was clogged up, tripping float switch. Cleared out drain line. Everything is working properly. Homeowner purchased a Gold membership for two systems. Note: 1st maintenance check will start in spring, per Russ Teager.
Heat maintenance: checked heat strips, all heat pump operations, electrical components and refrigerant levels. Everything is working properly. Homeowner will change dirty filters.
