Great service

He was very polite, nice and explained what the issue was with the unit. I need a new unit but the cost seemed was too high. Nothing to do with Murphy.

"Awesome Service"

Was very pleased with the service done on my a/c. Every thing went smoothly and the technician (Shane) had it up and running again as time allowed after all the work that was performed by him. Excellent job!! I am a very happy customer :) of Bay Area Air Conditioning.

Prompt! Fair!

I had Glen out today to fix my AC since it abruptly stopped working. He came out within a few hours and worked hard to get it to work again. Thank you for your honestly, fair price, and determination to leave me with a working AC without an immediate replacement!

Found system out of 410A refrigerant. Put 1lb 410A and filled to 450lbs with nitrogen and ran leak search. Found no obvious leak at first, so climbed back through attic and checked line set. Found no leak at line set in attic. After extensive search I found leak only after taking off my hoses and valve stem came out. Installed new valve stem on suction line service port. Tighten down everything and vacuumed system down below 400 microns and recharged system. vacuumed to 270 microns had rise of 76 in 15 minutes. System is now working within factory specifications.

Found the system low on r22. Recommend having the system replaced as it's phased out and leaking r22.

Checked drain line to see if it was still clogged, that is not the case. Checked drain pan for buildup, found minor buildup and cleaned and treated drain pan. While pouring water into drain pan i noticed a corner of the drain pan seemed to be leaking. Showed my pour to ensure it wasn't overflowing. Still minor leaks. Checked for static pressure drop across the coil, which is only a .17. System had high superheat with appropriate subcooling, so charge is good. Recommend changing drain pan and txv. Customer approved work so pays are ordered and we will be back out as soon as we can to fix this.

upon arrival the blower was not running. I tried switching speed taps on module but would not start. I quoted evergreen module but homeowner is going to get second opinion.
