Shower was remodeled 6 months ago. Customer was finally able to use shower due to tile and glass being held back. First time using the shower and came downstairs afterwards and water leaking through light fixture. Went upstairs to check install. Shower arm was on tight. Looked behind trim plate and saw no issues. Then pulled grate off drain and saw that the flange on the shower drain had snapped off, thus leaving nothing holding it tight to pan. Will be coming back Thursday to re install shower drain. We were able to get to the home Thursday morning and locate the pipe in the living room we took existing shower drain out (it had failed due to a defect in the plastic collar.) I was able to replace with a brass shower drain to insure stability and repiped to drain.
