In spite of inclement weather, the trench creation, conduit laying and electrical connections were done very well. What was poorly done was backfilling the trench with about 15% of the dirt not pulled back into the trench. It not only left a terrible muddy yard mess in a high traffic area, but it would have left a serious rut when the dirt settled. Admittedly, by the end of the work it was getting dark and the weather worsening, but it was a hasty and messy backfill job that neutralized the good feelings about the electrical work. I approved the work after dark without having seen the poor trench backfill job, but the next morning's light revealed the mess. I complained in an email to Black Diamond, and when the came out for another project two days later (I use the a lot for all my plumbing, electrical and HVAC needs since they usually do very good work) and dressed up the poor trenching job to almost as good as I would have done. After the remedial work on the trench, I would rate them an A-. Before the remedial work it was a gracious D-.
