Found compressor lower, but still in ok range with megohmeter. Fan motor tested ok. Contactor and capacitor are worn. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Found indoor coil temp was 36. Subcooling was 10. Indoor split was 18. Average life of this unit is 14 years. This system is showing indications of being worn and is 23+ years old. Future failure is expected. Due to age, condition and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Furnace. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, ok. Checked and cleaned burners and flame sensor, ok. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. No CO found in airstream. Normal levels of CO and XS air in exhaust. System operating normal at this time. Office to schedule second opinion for options for ac. Job complete.
