Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are very dirty and corroded. There’s a lot of rust from water damage in both compartments. Venter motor is also wearing out. The heat exchanger has excessive amounts of rust and chipped metal. The CO in the exhaust was high at 114. No CO detected in the air at this time, however, the unit is in very rough shape. Average life of system is 12-15 years. Furnace is currently 15+ years of age. Due to age, condition, and cost for future repairs, I’m recommending a second opinion with our service manager. The unit is currently safe to operate for now, however, we cannot gaurantee for how long.
