Removed old 3x10 duct which was too short to reach boot in soffit from top of microwave vent discharge. Disconnected and removed microwave to allow us to put a new proper length piece of duct in so it actually mates with boot in the soffit above. Re-installed the microwave and silver taped all joints we were able to get to. Also put a 1/2†black plug in customers existing gas line regulator behind the stove to keep it from possibly leaking if the gas valve were ever to be accidentally turned on.
