Plumber, plumbing, Water Heater Repair : Gas Valve Replacement. Upon arrival the customer stated that their water heater wasn’t working properly. Upon diagnosis I found that the gas valve wasn’t working properly. When trying to swap out gas valve, I couldn’t put the new gas valve in cause there was calcium around the opening making it too hard to work had to drain tank 1st. Once I got gas valve in, got water back in tank, lit pilot, waited 25secs, set gas valve to the B setting. Checked the burner for proper flame. Ok now.

Plumber, plumbing, valve replacement, valve installation. prv Replacement: 3/4"" Replacement. Upon inspection of the water pressure it was 95psi. Homeowner had coverage for prv replacement and the homeowner stated that their water pressure was strong for about 30secs, then it would drop off. Replaced the prv, checked water pressure again and now it’s 65psi. Homeowner checked the shower and said that now the pressure is the same even after 1 minute. Checked for leaks. OK Drain And Overflow Repair/replacement Upon arrival the customer stated that their tub was leaking into the downstairs bathroom ceiling when taking baths. Upon inspection I found that the overflow plate was loose to tub and that was the only leaking in the past. Tightened up the overflow plate. Should be ok now so long that you don’t fill the tub up to the overflow drain, cause there’s a possibility that it will start leaking.

Upon arrival the customer stated that they had a leak under the kitchen sink. Upon inspection I found that the 1/2hp disposal was leaking. Replaced it with a new 1/2hp disposal. Home has a prv so I tried to adjust the pressure but that didn’t work. Replaced it with a new prv, checked for leaks and and adjusted pressure to 58psi. Water pressure is good now.
