Plumber, plumbing, sump pump installation, sump pump replacement. 1/3 Hp Sump Pump Sumersible Replacement. Upon arrival customer stated that their sump pump wasn’t working at all. Upon diagnosis I found that the motor went bad. Replaced it with a new sump pump. Checked for leaks and proper operation. OK Check Valve upon inspection I found that there wasn’t a check valve for the old sump pump. Since it’s required for the new sump pump, I needed to install one. Installed a new check valve for 11/2” pvc pipe. Checked for proper operation. OK. Re-pipe (typical) upon working on replacing the old sump pump, the pvc was only 1” in size. Minimum should of been 11/2” pvc. Repiped the drain with 11/2” pvc. Checked for leaks. OK
