Spring HVAC Repair Service for a residential homeowner in Wylie with an A/C system not working. Upon arrival re inspected units. Outdoor coils had slight dust on them, took panels off and sprayed off with water hose to clean. Found that the return by downstairs thermostat was humming/rattling a little, screwed return door shut so noise would stop, filter gets replaced At the unit. For the insulation on the suction line outside was only missing about two inches of insulation. Both systems are working properly. Customer happy on departure.

Came out on service call 25seer hp lennox Code at tstat 426 ou excessive allert lockout Codes on outside unit are e431, e433, e441 High amprage on compressor Case # 2080506 Greg tech support tech. Testing in cooling Amp draws for compressor go up to 16 and shut off Testing In heat mode Amp draws for compressor go up to 16 and shut off Omhm out compressor plug all are .08 Tested legs to ground over continuity and compressor is not grounded Incoming volts to unit 241 Recommendations to replace compressor and inverter under warranty. Vacuum and 15lbs of refrigerant. In order for the unit to properly run in a.c. or heat. (At this time only aux heat is properly functioning.) Good Amp draws on heat strips and blower motor as well as condenser fan motor. Customer does not approve repair at this time.

No heat service call in Wylie. Inspection of Trane unit found no gas pressure from the gas valve. The unit gas valve was turned off and turned it on and restarted the unit. Trane unit is running properly.

No IAQ (UV LIGHT KIT.) High Amp draw on condenser motor meaning possible part failure.
Upon arrival found system in off mode. Homeowner said there was smoke coming out of vents and error codes on tstat. Checked inside unit and found filter clogged. Filter is a Lennox healthy home filter x6675. Checked heat strips with continuity and they were good. Pulled blower and inspected heat strips. Found layers of dust and build up on the 2nd and third set of strips. Recommended replacing heat strips or cleaning. Was getting a communication error for outdoor unit. Found splice in wall at condenser system would need a new Tstat wire to outdoor unit. Checked pressures and amp draws on compressor. Both were good compressor pulling 10.4 out of 24.7. System is on and running, recommended adding a air scrubber uv light so build up doesn’t happen again on heat strips. Emailed repairs over homeowner wants to think about it.
Performed a one system maintenance checking heating. Checked all electrical, mechanical and safety components. Checked amp draws, cleaned flame sensor, checked systems sequence of operation, checked capacitor, and changed out customer supplied filter. System is heating properly at this time.
Upon arrival found system working. Checked thermostat alert history and found two error codes. One for a high pressure switch and lost of communication. Turned system on a/c and checked pressures. Pressures were good. Coil was clean. Fan motor was working properly. Switched system to heat pump mode and pressures were good. Let system run for 15min in heat mode to see if pressures would rise and they stayed steady. No faults found for high pressure. On communication error found where the wire had been spliced and found water damage around wire nuts. Recommended repairing wire. Homeowner approved repair and repair wire. Turned system back on and system is now working properly.
Everything was good let them know to put frost proof hose nine cover on.
