Performed preventative maintenance for heat pump system during air conditioning season. Customer replaced the Merv 11 16x25x5 air filter. Inspected all the electrical components. Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Tested the amp draw for the compressor and fan motor. All were operating within the manufacturer specs. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. System is operating at a 20° differential on an 81° day. Went through all operations of the unit with the customer so they know how it works. Inspected the gravity drain. Drain is clear and operating properly at this time. System is an attic unit. The air handler will be very difficult to access if any electrical problems as well as repairs need to be made. Recommend rotating to improve serviceability. System is 2 years old and I’m not sure as to why it was installed this way. Call for a quote if you would like it rotated. System is operating properly at this time.
