Came out today to inspect a leaking issue. Upon arrival the homeowner thought that her Trane system may be leaking into the unit downstairs. Model #Twg025A140b1, serial #21612766v. Upon inspection I found that the 20 year old system was lacking maintenance. I inspected the system and tested the drain lines . There are issues with the system but leaking is not one of them. I inspected the washer connections that are in the same room. I found that the gate valves for the system are completely corroded. The pipes that go into the wall are in rough condition as well. To fix the pipes for the washer the water would have to be turned off. The washer will have to be removed and you would have to cut into the wall. Unfortunately this is out of chuds scope of work. Recommend reaching out to a local plumber. I presented the homeowner with several options to help improve the system. The homeowner would like to handle the leaking issues before dealing with the AC.
