Came out today to perform preventative maintenance on a Coleman furnace model #TG8S060A12 serial #W1D7657177. Upon arrival I had the homeowner turn the temperature up on the thermostat on the second floor. After waiting ten minutes I went up to the thermostat and found it had no power. I checked for 24 volts at the furnace. The furnace was receiving 24 volts. I jumped the system out by jumping w and R and the system fired right up. I have determined that there is a break in the thermostat wire. This system will need a Honeywell red link wireless thermostat to operate. There is no way to fish a new line from the second floor to the basement. I have presented all options to the homeowner. The homeowner chose the economy plus package. Chud will have to contact the homeowner with an install date once parts are acquired.I was able to wire a t1 thermostat to the system at the furnace. I did this so the homeowner could have heat on the second flooring. No pm could be performed charge diagnos
