Attic -Performed preventative maintenance for a carrier ac system. Model #38th024300Dl , serial #3089E79072 . Upon arrival the thermostat was set for 74 and it was satisfied. I turned the thermostat off , powered down the system and removed the access panels. The evaporator coils are clean and in fair condition. I tested the drain line with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. I checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I cleaned the washable air filter. The blower motor is in rough condition. I re attached the access panels and powered the system back up. I called for ac and observed the system starting normally. The condenser coils are in ver rough condition due to age. The safety bars for the fins are completely rusted out. The condenser is currently 33 years old and should be updated. The condenser amp draws are .60 for the fan and 6.80 for the compressor. The temperature split is at a 18° differential.
