Manufacturer York Model # H1RA042S06A Serial # EKGM363060 Completed a preventative maintenance on a 23 year old York system. Customer changed #313 filter. The split temperature was 15. When water testing the evaporator coil I noticed the coil was very rusted out and because the split temperature was so low I decided to check the area with my refrigerant leak detector, the evaporator coil is is leaking in two different spots. I showed the customer where the system is leaking from and because it’s r22 we can’t just replace the coil. Also, the compressor outside is starting to rust out and it’s only gonna get worse. The capacitor is all rusted and the contactor has burn marks on the inside of it. It is time for this system to be replaced. Customer wants to talk it over with his wife and possibly get another quote on a new system. I cannot guarantee this system will last throughout the summer.
