Came out today for a no ac call on a York rooftop package unit. Model # and serial # not available. Upon arrival the customer had the system set to heat. I called for ac and lowered the temperature. At the unit I found the system in very rough shape. The fan motor is rusted as well as most of the components inside the system. The air filters are extremely clogged. I powered the system down let it reset and powered it back up. The system started without any issues. Due to the lack of maintenance and the condition of the system my biggest fear is that I may break something during inspection. The system is operating properly at this time however due to the age of the system Chud cannot guarantee that there won’t be issues in the future. Bill out per dispatch.
