Came out today to look at a leaking hot water heater. Upon arrival I found a large puddle of water on the floor. The homeowner showed me that the gate valve was leaking while in the off position. The system seems to still leak from the inside even with the incoming water shut off. The hot water heater will ultimately need to be replaced. The hot water heater is currently 9 years old. 2 techs needed due to stairs. See estimate for details.
