As a military retiree, I'm grateful to CJS Heating and Air for it's Heroes Club, which provides their normal "CJS Yes Club" basic benefits at no cost to active and retired military/veterans and first responders. This was my first annual inspection/tune-up with the company. The technician was very professional and thorough and when asked, recommended and explained a couple of available upgrades without any sales pressure to purchase them. I did have to reschedule this service call three weeks AFTER they scheduled the first call at a time (after 4 PM) that they don't normally do tune-ups. Special arrangements are apparently required for routine appointments after 4, and it would have been nice if they would have been able to catch that PRIOR TO the day before the original appointment and reschedule a little sooner after THEIR mistake forced the cancellation of the first appointment.
I bought my house in February and have been slowly figuring out the little things about my new place. One of which is my electric heating system. CJS has been helping me through this process. We recently set up the Nest system which is another reason I wanted a Fall check up just to be sure we were ready to go for the winter. It seemed to me that the heat wasn't doing well despite the cleaning I had prior to. Found out that I needed a new compacitor and now my house seems too hot, but I like it better. Les, the technician, also fixed what we did wrong with the Nest and went through some future options we should do on the furnace.
CJS is the best. My service tech, Les, was on time, and he was extremely detailed in his inspection and tune up of our furnace. I can sleep better knowing my system is not emitting unsafe carbon monoxide levels, and the parts that ned attention. Overall, it was a great decision to call CJS.
I signed up for the "heroes" program that I head about on the radio as it seemed to promote 2 free tune ups a year as a thank you for veterans. I was disappointed that the technician was more interested in hard selling upgrades and significant repairs (in excess of $3,000) instead. They still cleaned the furnace, but this was not what I was expecting.
My realtor recommended CJS as one of their Go-To people for my HVAC system. I did do research: BBB, Angie's List, Customer Reviews and found that they had a good rating. I called and decided to purchase the Silver Club membership, so that when Ryan came by I didn't have to worry about paying him since it was included in my membership to do an inspection. I do need work to be done and Ryan gave me the choices, all different prices that will help me out plus teaching me a little about my system. I am very grateful and excited to get this project started.
Bill arrived in the allotted time frame and listened to my concerns. He was able to quickly identify the root cause of my excessive power bill being a stuck sequencer that caused my heater to continuously run thus fighting the cooling. Courteous and friendly, he took the time to explain the problem and was not pushy in regard to additional services. Would recommend to others.
The technition arrived right on time, was polite, helpful, and efficient.
Thorough work and friendly service man . Very efficient and knowledgeable about equipment. Very satisfied.
Tech was very nice, explained all my options and told me cost before doing any of the work.

Service Tech was very kind and took aduquite time to explaine the process as he worked to resolve the HVAC issue. I truly appreciate the ability to learn from experts. The call service also managed messages promptly and kept me well informed which enabled me to balance my work schedule with appointment time. Very pleased with the overall customer service level and decided to purchase the annual maitnace plan as a result.
