I need a copy of the work results from today at 3633 Marietta for my records - I can't really rate the service since it was done at a rental property until I speak to my renter
They came out to do springtime maintenance on the air conditioning unit they installed in November and found a problem that they came back and fixed, at no cost to me!
Both technicians were very prompt and efficient. Explained things well and offered suggestions.
The installation of the humidifiers was a time consuming effort and these two gentlemen kept a steady pace. When finished the operation of the humidifiers was explained in detail. The area was left clean. And that is why we have we are with Classic Aire
Roger was very helpful in explaining what the issue was and a professional, very low cost
Cleaned & checked gas furnace. Inspected heat exchanger & flue venting. cleaned burners & flame sensor. Checked voltage & amp draw of motors. Test capacitor. Replaced air filter. Blower: 5.7A . Inducer: 1.2A Temperature rise: 48 . Supply: 119. Return: 71 .
I found humidifier drain tubing clogged! I cleared the blockage. Found humidifier solenoid valve stuck open! Also due for water panel replacement. I replaced furnace air filter. Tested operation. Suggestions: Replace humidifier with larger model: $716. PMA Discount applies.
Cleaned & checked 2 gas furnaces. Inspected heat exchanger & flue venting. cleaned burners & flame sensor. Checked voltage & amp draw of motors. Test capacitors. First floor system: flame sensor current dropping below minimum. Clean flame sensor and tested: 2.7 micro amps. Replaced air filter. Blower: 6.6A . Inducer: 1.38A . Gas pressure: 3.4 inches water column. Temperature rise: 47 . Supply: 114. Return: 67 . Second floor system: Replaced air filter. Blower: 5.8A . Inducer: 1.45A. Gas pressure:3.4 inches water column. Temperature rise: 46 . Supply: 115. Return: 69 .
Furnace maintenance today! Signed up for new maintenance plan
I found condenser fan motor bearings going bad. Found condenser fan motor capacitor very weak. Motor drawing 20% over full load amps. Also compressor capacitor very weak. Compressor drawing high amps. Freon level only slightly low: within 10 degrees of charging chart. Replaced fan capacitor for temporary cooling and tested amp draw: 0.86A.
Cleaned and checked air conditioner. Checked drain. Checked voltage and amperage draw of motors. Tested capacitors. Cleaned condenser coil. Checked filter: dirty MERV 16. More than 1” drop. I installed temporary 1 inch filter. Need to order MERV 16 air cleaner media. Checked Freon level: Low again. I talked of Freon level enough to get system cooling nearly full capacity. System is still approximately 20% low on Freon. Superheat: 16. Sub :: zero.
Cleaned and checked air conditioner. Checked and cleaned out drain. Checked voltage and amperage draw of motors. Tested capacitors. Checked Freon level. Cleaned condenser coil. Checked filter. Compressor: 14.9A. Condenser fan: 1A . Blower: 4.7A, 1400. ambient: 90 . liquid line: 92 . suction line: 49. metering device: TXV . Return air: 71 . supply air: 51.5 . wet bulb: 56.
Cleaned and checked air conditioner. Checked drain. Checked voltage and amperage draw of motors. Tested capacitors. Found run dual capacitor weak: 11%low, Compressor side. Replaced capacitor and tested amp draw. Checked Freon level. Cleaned condenser coil. Replaced air filter. Compressor: 9.7A. Condenser fan: 0.83A . Blower: 6.0A . ambient: 85 . liquid line: 90. suction line: 48 . metering device: piston . Suction pressure: 76(45). Return air: 79 . supply air: 57.5. wet bulb: 64.
Cleaned and checked air conditioner. Checked drain. Checked voltage and amperage draw of motors. Tested capacitors. Checked Freon level. Cleaned condenser coil. Compressor: 9.3A. Condenser fan: 0.8A . Blower: 3.0A . ambient: 84 . liquid line: 89, dirty . suction line: 41. CC: dry. metering device: piston. Return air: 79. supply air: 57 . wet bulb: 68.5. Temperature drop: 22. Target: 15.5. Airflow is very poor mainly due to very restrictive supply duct transition into attic. Also blower wheel is dirty due to running without a filter, further reducing airflow. Approximately 65 feet of copper line set. Cleaned & checked gas furnace. Inspected heat exchanger & flue venting. cleaned burners & flame sensor. Checked voltage & amp draw of motors. Test capacitor. Gas piping to furnace and water heater does not have drip legs (per gas code). Also water heater vent diverter not attached to water heater. Furnace room has no combustion air venting. Workshop suggested: remov
Found discharge line center bad. Stuck open. I wired around sensor for temporary cooling. Need to order new discharge line sensor. I also found air conditioner in need of cleaning. Customer purchased maintenance plan today. Work suggested: need to order warranty part and schedule replacement. Has cooling. Recommend scheduling first maintenance visit also.
