Ac maintenance in Decatur, Georgia. One system. Did not change filter. Added chlorine tablets to condensate pump. Chemically washed condenser coil. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Found electrical pitting present on main electrical switch. Recommend repair. Recommend installing hard start kit to reduce load on compressor so it starts smoother, runs smoother and therefore lasts longer. Recommend installing surge protection to protect equipment from power surges. Replaced main electrical switch under parts and labor warranty. System is cooling at this time.
